Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 23, 2021We pretty much had the camp to ourselves. Dry camping is $9, electric & water is $12 & full hookup is $15. Beautiful small lake with fantastic sunsets! Campsites are close together but plenty of walking area around the lake!

After reading the previous reviewer, we couldn't believe the state of this area. No signage to indicate it was a park and where (or how) we should pay, most of the electrical boxes were broken (and may have been live with front covers removed), ramadas rusted and broken, fencing along edge of ravine off the lake was in disrepair - loose wire protruding from metal pipe frame, garbage strewn around. There was one permanent looking trailer but never saw a person (thought it might have been a host). We had planned to stay 7 nights and because of the poor conditions of E/W sites, pulled into an area for primitive camping overlooking the lake. We ended up staying 2 nights, but just couldn't stay any longer - creepy, so in disrepair and garbage strewn about - felt unsafe.

This is a small, out-of the way city park adjacent to the reservoir that provides water for the City of Big Spring.
A bit rough, but quiet and low cost— $9 for dry camping; $15 for full hookups.
Turn left at gate and follow signs to pay box. RV sites are a hard right once you enter gate.

We arrived late (9:30pm) so it was a little hard to find pay box. It’s right in front of residents/caretakers front porch. This is also the office. We were met as we were filing out our permit and shown where the 30amp sites were. There is a road to the right as soon as you enter through the gate. You would need to go pay the fee first and then turn around (We had to back up our 28’ TT after paying fee) and go back to entry gate and take the little road about 400’ to get to the site. Site was long enough for our TT and tow vehicle and it was a pull through. A little bit of work to get all done at night but doable. Can’t say much else since showed up at night and planned on leaving early in morning. About 7 miles from I-20. Didn’t see any showers or bathrooms where we were. Across the lake is dry camping and bathrooms. Our hook ups worked fine. 30amp.

15 for full hookups except there is no water pressure to use their water, there are no maps to find the hook up sites, the “playground” is a swing overgrown with weeds, the “beach” is a dangerous stair climb with rocks, weeds, and broken glass to lack luster creek. The “picnic areas” have no tables or seating and dirty bbqs filled with rocks and trash. Every where you walk are weeds, spikes, trash and glass. They say you get what you pay for but here you get less.
