My wife grew up down the road, so we always stay here when visiting family. That said, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the keys. It was a month of afternoon swims in the pool, launching the kayak from the sun beach, roasting marshmallows in the firepit on the water each evening, walking the miles of private trails, and enjoying friendly staff and neighbors. Bahia Honda is a quick drive north (east) and Key West is a 45 minute drive south (west). Oh, and the internet actually works. We signed up for our free month of Netflix and binged House of Cards. AT&T 4G LTE also worked great. Our rate was monthly, nightly rates are $69.

Starting with a very welcoming host, to a superb spot by the water, aka boondocking as I only spent two nights, it was great. I was greeted by a Key deer as I was setting up. That night they had a welcome party for all the returning campers. And this is usual. Friendly people, large sites, great amenities. 2nd floor pool above rec hall, group firepit, laundry, boat slips available, etc.

I drycamped in the tent section surrounded by bay water. Some construction going on due to damage by hurricane Irma. Although you can hear traffic noise my site was very secluded and peaceful. Enjoyed key deer visits

Our spot was on the water, but the marsh. The entire park is gravel/sand. We were not able to enjoy sitting outside, due to the noseums. My kids and wife were covered in bites after the first day. Worse than chicken pox. The pool was really nice. The entry/exit with the chain was kind of annoying. The staff seemed glad to cut back on amenities "because of Covid" instead of trying to find a way to make something out of it. We felt like we overpaid.

This was our first time to the Keys and this was a great spot about half way down. The facility was full as it was the beginning of lobster season but the other guests were friendly and in good spirits! The staff were great, showers clean, no swimmable beach there but other great spots a close drive away. The spots were good size and the hook ups worked well with no problems. Our only complaint was the sand fleas were terrible but that isn’t something they can control.

We have been coming here for 4 years and love the place and the people we met. This campground was sold by the Gladwell family to Cover Communities at the end of 2020. Prices have since doubled and services have been reduced as reported by guests who have been there this past summer. We will not be returning.

The staff is friendly, but the sites aren’t the best. Ocean view is swampy, there are aggressive fleas that will get thru screens and netting (noseums) and my site (210) is right next to the RV dump, which reeked in the morning. The prices are double what they were only a couple of years ago, but the worth isn’t. Perhaps she’ll out a bit more to go to another site where you get what you pay for.
