Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 16, 2021We stayed here a few years back in early March - very cold... but only one other RV here! We found a perfect pull along the creek site - great for our old Lab who just wants to be in the water. Self pay station, with pit toilets and I think there was garbage service. Mostly, we timed it right - no people! I could be off on what we paid as well as site number - they are really just random spots alongside the creek then back behind. A great place to just chill!

Why does there always have to be a but? We stayed a Saturday and Sunday in early April, so it was very quiet, which was nice because most of the sites are pretty close to each other. Site 23 offered us the ability to create a private little creek side oasis, but first we had to clean up all the trash. The babbling creek was nice, but not deep enough for Miss Lola to go for a real swim. The area around this campground has A LOT of off road traffic, some of which passes through the road that goes thru the campground. Most of the off roaders were respectful and the direction of the wind meant no dust storms, so no problems for us, but I wouldn’t come here during the busy season. Another negative is the unending amounts of broken glass that we saw as we hiked around the area. We did not use the vault toilets, but given the amount of trash all around the campground, I’m guessing this place is not well maintained. The road thru the campground goes to some sort of mining operation, which is closed on the weekends, but by 10am on Monday, 4 trucks had already come and gone. Rate mentioned includes the online reservation fee, you can do first come and pay 14/night. We would come here again, but only during the off peak season.
