This is a top campground in CA, so it can get a bit busy on beautiful weekends, but all of our neighbors were friendly, polite party-goers. They even offer propane delivery directly to your RV, along with fire pits and firewood if you desire - so convenient!

Place was pretty, spaces were a bit tight. There are two small stores and a restaurant on site as well as boat and kayak rentals. Its a short walk up to the water but unless you’re in the restaurant no real place to sit. Very clean and friendly staff! Cell service and wifi weren't dependable. Overall not a bad place!

Quiet place, a mix of long and short term people it seems. I stayed 1 night but was very satisfied. Hookups work well, but my pedestal was a little loose. The wifi did not work well. During this COVID shutdown, there is no access to restaurants or food in the park. I would stay again though. Plenty of room to walk my dogs around.

3rd stay at this park, 1st time we had the absolute worst site, comes with a view of the aluminum siding of a building. 2nd & 3rd stay the 2nd to the worst site. Pie shape site, dead grass, and gravel. Don’t be deceived by the photos on line, most of the grassy site are occupied by long term RVs that water their sites themselves, many sites are dead grass and gravel.
Trees are overgrown and in desperate need of trimming. We sustained a tear in the membrane of our roof from a dry dead branch that was not visible through all the overgrowth. Power is 30 amp. Couldn’t run 1 AC and water heater at the same time. Hardly any room to park truck. Will post pictures.

Our 3rd stay, 1st stay at this place, had a site that has the view of the aluminum siding of the storage building. 2nd and 3rd and final stay was a pie shape site with dead grass and gravel. Don’t be deceived by photos on line, most grassy sites are occupied by long term RVs that water the sites themselves. Your likely to get a sites with gravel with dead grass. Trees are overgrown and in desperate need of trimming. We sustained a tear in the membrane of our roof from a dry dead branch that was not visible through all the overgrowth. Power is only 30 amp, could not run 1 ac with the water heater at the same time. Not much room to park the truck.

It’s a small clean and quiet place but super tight for big rigs and lots of long term stay folks. The marina bar and restaurant is nice and good. Staff is friendly.
3 stars only because it is too tight to maneuver and we prefer open spaces.
Cell coverage is poor.

We have been coming to Sugar Barge since the 1990’s. The park has improved so much but so has the price. We’re giving it 3 Stars because it is now the most expensive park in the area.
The staff here are awesome. They go out of their way to accommodate you and see that your stay is nice.
Sites are all 30 amp with grass and gravel. Good luck getting level on the grass. They need 50 amp for the big rugs they bring in.
Overall, although the price is very expensive, we will come to see our kids who live in the area and visit with old friends I went to high school with.
PS: They now have Premium Sites which look very nice for $95 a night 😲

If you want an RV park near the Delta for fishing or water activities this is the park. Conveniently located on the Delta and an easy drive to the city of Oakley. We only gave it three stars because of the expensive rate to park on grass or gravel with only 30 amp.
We’ve been coming to this park since the early 1990s and have seen it improve a lot. Unfortunately, the cost to stay is approximately $75 a night now. Sites are on grass and gravel along with new premium sites, which are very nice. Premium sites are $95 a night.
Even though the price is high, we will continue to come here because we were both raised in the area and have adult children still living here. This is a convenient park to visit family and friends.
