“a beautiful campground”
Founded in 1973, Shamrock Park is a beautiful campground on the bank of the St. Joseph River that is owned and operated by the Village of Berrien Springs. We are located 10 miles off I-94 on Old US Highway 31(M-139), just 12 miles to the city of St. Joseph and Lake Michigan's beautiful sandy beaches, and only 2 miles from Andrews University and the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds. There are many farm markets, U-picks, and wineries in the area for you to visit. Shamrock Park is a year-round camping and fishing park complete with modern restrooms and showers, DNR built boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and sanitary dump station. Both the restrooms and the fish cleaning station are heated in the winter. For your convenience, the Park Manager resides right here at the Park. Fish for salmon, steelhead, walleye, and more. There are several privately owned and operated charter boat services available at the Park. Bring your own boat or just come to relax and enjoy beautiful Southwest Michigan. The campground now has a total of 124 sites. All of our full hookup sites are choice of 30 or 50 amp electrical service. Several are large, pull-thru sites. Our other sites are either water and electric, just electric, or total primitive. Many of our full hookup sites are even open during the winter. We have three cabins that can each sleep a max of 4 people. They are heated and open all year. The cabins, along with many of our sites, are located right on the River's bank. If you are in the area for work or play, plan to stay with us. We have daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Check our Rate Page for all our rates, park policies, and a map of the Park.

The park is managed by the city/township of Berrien Springs and is very well kept. This is a well established park that does have transient sites, but it is also expanding to make room for bigger rigs.
It is located on a river, so there is a boat ramp in the park. A couple of weekends that we were there, they had a sign up that they were full. (Over the 4th of July weekend)
The facilities have very clean bathroom/shower accommodations. There is a playground for the children, but no pool, which we didn't mind because we were visiting family and friends most of the time. Wifi is okay... gets slow at times. No cable, just local stations.
Despite the fact that this is located near a busy secondary highway, it is pretty quiet.

This was a convenient and quiet place to stop on a longer trip across the state. The detour off the expressway was quite manageable (about 10 to 15 minutes) but the park is far enough that you don't hear any expressway noise at all. The park is clean and well maintained and located within walking distance of quaint downtown Berrien Springs.
We arrived on the afternoon of a hot and humid day (90+ degrees) and were looking forward to running the air conditioner. Unfortunately our site was plagued by low voltage and we could not run the AC so we suffered during the entire stay. We would stay here again but not if we knew we needed to run the AC.
Our site was tight to back into due to the poor "placement" of a tree across the road. Most sites seem quite easy to get into. The "ding" on our site rating below is entirely due to the low voltage.
We had good Verizon service and were able to stream HD video.

Full hookup 50a, large site with easy access to the St. Joe river. Quite clean friendly. Great WiFi, bad cellar coverage with Sprint.

We stayed here when high winds and threatening weather made it unsafe to travel to our planned destination several hours south. We called ahead and the manager assured us that he had a site available. We were in the new section where we had a nice fire ring, sturdy picnic table. full hookups and access to the campground's wifi. Our site was level, gravel to park on and surrounded by grass. The campground is on the banks of the St. Joseph River and we enjoyed walking our dog along the river.
Amenities include a clean shower house, a nice playground with equipment in good shape. Firewood and ice are available at the campground and Berrien Springs has a couple of grocery stores and several locally owned and chain restaurants.
From this campground you are less than 15 miles to the shore of Lake Michigan. Go to Weko Beach Campground or Warren Dunes State Park for the sunset! It's spectacular!
While we were not thrilled to have to alter our travel plans, we were glad to stumble on this jewel of a campground.

We elected to take a full hookup site (#39) that became available upon our arrival. Originally we had reserved site #6 which only included water & electric. Our site #39 was super close to site #38 and unfortunately our door faced the door of whoever was in site #40. The person in site #38 apparently was someone who stayed at this campground regularly as were the same for many others campsites. He had a tendency to play his music very loud that we could not only hear it in our Rv but felt the vibration from it. Luckily site #40 only had a camper family for one night so we did have our privacy. The Newer Bathhouse had individual rooms with Showers. The proximity to St Joseph’s River was nice for those with a boat who likes to fish from it. Shamrock Park CG was near Weko beach and within 20 mins of Warren Dunes State Park. Just be aware that the state parks charge non-residents a fee of $9 per day. We liked the location of the campground to other points of interests and the campground was very well maintained.

Had between 25amps to 29 amps on our 30 amp service, the water pressure was pretty low, and their is a trailer park next door that becomes very visible wen the leaves come off the trees.
Now this park is about 60/40 long term vs short term, and we are full timers that stay in various areas for 3 months at a time, so no judgement, just putting this here so you know what to expect. Everyone I met was very nice. There is a river and access to it in the park, which is really cool, and we kayaked a 8 or 9 mile stretch a couple of times, and had a very nice float. The manager is really nice and just has a great warm and friendly personality.
The monthly price is very reasonable, and our site was a good size. The size of sites vary greatly depending on what part of the park you stay in.
The wifi is hit or miss. My wife and I both have verizon and I was getting a good enough signal most of the time, but not great, my wife's signal was not as good as mine.

Camped here for a week in our 5th wheel. Right off a main road, but not too much traffic noise when inside. Also next to a beautiful river with a Dam just up the road. There's an older section in the campground with sites kind of close to each other & a newer section with more space between sites. You don't feel on top of your neighbor here in the newer section. Have full & partial hook ups. Only $24 a night for 50amp FHU. Can't beat that. 2 playgrounds, 2 bath houses (newer ones have all in one toilet, sink, shower & very clean. Didn't go inside older ones since further from our site), nice wooden patio swings next to the river for relaxing. Also have few cabins & primitive camp sites. Enjoyed our time here & would recommend.
