“come stay in one of our newly remodeled themed kabins!”
Welcome to Albuquerque North/Bernalillo KOA, a flower-filled oasis on the road to Santa Fe, just north of Albuquerque. Catch the Rail Runner Express in Bernalillo for train excursions to downtown Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Belen. Enjoy easy access to New Mexico's two largest cities and attractions, as well as to ancient Indian ruins, ghost towns, pueblos and the beauty of the Southwest. Soak in natural mineral hot springs in the Village of Jemez Springs and stop by the Soda Dam. The campground features a shaded pool just steps from your Camping Cabin, Tent Site or RV Pull Thru Site. It's a terrific gathering spot for groups/families with an outdoor covered pavilion, playground, three dog parks, volleyball, book exchange, video rental, free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a great gift shop with Native American crafts, RV supplies and everyday essentials. Pool: May - October Max pull thru: 75 feet. Your hosts: Craig & Rachel Blatt.
You always know what to expect in a KOA. We stayed one night to get our camper ready for a big trip. The spaces were large and the bathrooms and showers were spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Like most KOAs, it is just off the highway, meaning it is easy to reach but there is traffic noise at night. Close to the adorable town of Bernalillo.
We are on a cross-country trip and this KOA was one of the best campgrounds we stayed at across the United States. The sites are nice, it's well kept, the staff was very friendly, everything was great and there's actually a brewery right at the back of the campground that you can go and have refreshments.
We stayed here unexpectedly after our grand canyon section of our trip had to be canceled due to a wildfire. I called at 6:30pm to see if they had a spot for 2 nights and they did. Super nice guy on the phone took our reservations. We didn't get in until 10:15 and unfortunately, our info packet with spot number was not left in the night box with the other late check ins. I called the manager number on the door and he came right over and showed us to our spot. At 10:15pm. Also, super nice! The sites are large, have trees and are well kept. They have astroturf for grass which works great! No dead grass! Lol we have a 40' motorhome towing a van and got an 85' long pull thru spot so plenty of room! The grounds are well kept and landscaped, there's a fenced in dog area, a small playground area for the kids, there's a patio area with tables and umbrellas, the pool wasn't open when I saw it but we were out and about all day while the office was open. We would definitely come here again. Oh, and there was a train that went through only once that I heard last night but we do sleep with a fan on for background noise. 😴
Beautiful campground
Great space with privacy fence and clean safe showers! Very friendly staff and a nice little brewery with great locals that give you good tips on places to visit in the area!
