Valley Vista Encore Resort. Very close to town. Quiet with the occasional train horn far in the distance, Very friendly staff. Roomy sites. Facilities are open but no social gathering events due to COVID. Pool is open and heated. Laundry facilities are clean. Easy walking distance to convenience store/ gas station. Only 3 stars on Location as there is not much "Tourist" stuff to do nearby. We only paid $20 per night for a full 50 amp hookup because we're Thousand Trails members.

The park is part of the Encore group and our stay was covered with our Thousand Trails membership. Paid WiFi was good as was cell coverage. I work remotely and those are very important metrics for me. The park was clean, well kept and the staff helpful and friendly.

We stayed here at no additional cost as part of our Thousand Trails membership. This was a good campground for exploring southern Arizona. The facilities are nice and clean and the staff was great. We appreciated the off leash dog area as well.

Stopped along the way back to Lake Havasu for the night. Website worked well from the road and we were contacted in no time about our reservation and site number. Staff left our information packet out for us as we were arriving after office hours. Easy to find our spot and settle in for the night. Clean, neat place with nice sized lots. Easy to manage in and out. Will stay again!

Our second stop is in Benson, AZ. We stayed at Desert Valley RV Resort, a Thousand Trails Trails Collection/Resort Parks International park.
In keeping with the desert area, the campground has a rustic feel. There is a dog park, clubhouse and shuffle board area. The campground is a 30 minute drive from Tombstone and Bisbee, and we plan on checking them out.
We enjoyed this campground and will definitely stay here again!

Our first time at this Encore Resort in Benson, AZ. The rate ($0) was due to our Thousand Trails/Trails Collection membership. It was a full hookup site, which was also level side to side. Had to lower the nose of our trailer to get it level fore and aft. Not a big issue. It is an all gravel campground, but our site was nicely raked before we arrived, so there were no ruts or dips. Plenty of room in our back-in site to park our 29' travel trailer and our pickup. As mentioned, there is a nice dog park. Restrooms and showers were only at the office. But they nicely maintained. The pool and spa was open. They have social events scheduled while we were there (just missed the ice cream social).
Good restaurants in Benson. We ate at a very good Mexican restaurant (Mi Casa Mexican) and they have an old fashion ice cream shop. My wife got a vanilla cone, but I enjoyed my hot fudge sundae. Apparently, the Benson McDonalds was the first McDonalds to have a drive through window. The current McDonalds has been moved from their original location. However, they have a large T-Rex dinosaur statue in front now!
We would stay here again.

Valley Vista is a nice park, had gravel sites which appeared to be freshly raked. There were few picnic table, and the one at our site was in bad need of paint. The pedestal hookups are placed back to back, so that you face your neighbor while being outside. I didn't care for that, but it would be nice if you were camping with friends. We didn't get to try the pool and hot tub, but they looked very inviting. They had a nice book exchange library. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a back in site. We camped at Valley Vista in a travel trailer.

Spent 10 nights at this Park. It is an AQ (55+ park), but they allowed my husband and myself to stay there as long as it was less than 2 weeks. We did see some children there when we first got to the park. Staff very friendly & they escort you to your site. Park roads and sites are all gravel/rock. Upon checking in front office verified insurance carrier for RV and they verify RVIA number (that was a first). Sites were FHU, some with 30 amp and some 50 amp. They do offer back in or pull through. Some of the sites were “buddy sites” so your campsite at be facing your neighbor. We stayed in site 153, was easy to level, we were happy with our site. There was some road noise and train noise (supposedly about 50 trains go through Benson daily per the visitor center/train museum) but it didn’t bother us. In fact, we really enjoyed when we heard the trains go by. Did not use any of the amenities (pool, hot tub, laundry, restrooms, showers.) Good Verizon signal. We were able to talk, text, search the internet, and stream without any problems. For us it was a great location to explore Benson, Bisbee, Tombstone, Sierra Vista, and a couple of the National Monuments in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
