Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 18, 2021Nice to be so close to downtown Bend. Not quite walking distance but nearby to the Old Mill district and downtown areas. It is fairly quite except for nearby trains and main road traffic.
The site was super clean with full functional hook ups. WIFI is included and was relatively high speed good enough for adequate video streaming. Was able to pull over the air HD local channels.
Each site has artificial grass that makes for a nice patio setting. The outdoor grill and patio makes for a great group gatherings despite not being covered.
Comes with a number of clean full toilet and full shower private rooms. Includes full recycling area.
The entrance is a bit tricky to navigate but reasonably straight forward. Just need to look out for traffic.
Very cool vintage RVs that are available for rent to buy include a vintage remodeled hair salon.
Has an urban feel and crisp look. Price is a bit high but nice to be nearby downtown.

The Camp was updated in spring 2019. They have nice restrooms/showers, laundry facility, outdoor grills and fire pit, and pet area. We really enjoyed our stay here. The two guys who manage the site are very friendly and attentive. We were able to walk to restaurants and breweries. The immediate neighborhood isn’t the best though. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around alone at night.

Big spaces for any size rig. Fake grass areas nice touch. Community bbq area and fireplace. Owners are not too keen on campers with kids. We stayed for a couple of months.

This park is pretty new and very well maintained. Fully fenced, so you do not hear the road too bad at all. Our parents stayed in one of the remodeled campers and enjoyed their stay.
Pros
Clean Clean Clean
Has recycling
free bikes to use
walkable and bikeable to many of the things to do in Bend
tight, but well separated sites
Cons
Busy road makes it hard to leave the park and go south. If coming in from the south(driving north) plan to make a big u-turn to get into the park if you have a longer rig
Staff was very friendly and accommodating for our entire stay.

About 5 empty spaces when we pulled in. Had to call to see about staying. The lady could not have been ruder, acted like they may be full, then said the spaces we asked about were available for $125 a night. All it was is very close paved sites cramped on a small lot on a busy road. They also have retro trailers to rent and must be thinking that draws people to pay higher for the sites? We left.

We enjoyed our stay! Very clean sites, well maintained grounds. We enjoyed the gas fire pit, corn hole boards. We used the laundry and that was very handy. The spaces are spendy however it’s worth it for the location!

Unfortunately I cannot give The Camp a good review. It is 1acre of cement and turf. Wood chips for a dog area. No manager when we arrived luckily I asked which site number was ours. We had to walk our dog three blocks to find grass. We were awoken by early am construction next door. Rate is very high for what is offered.it is new and clean.

This is our 3rd stay at The Camp. The first 2 stays we didn't have issues. We started coming here around when they opened. Like the reviews state, there is much to love about this place. Modern vibe, clean spots, clean facilities, easy check in.
So what's not to love?
Homeless people getting into your site and going through the garbage every morning between 4-6am. We also had a scary incident that involved calling the Police for a mentally disturbed man banging on our door at 4am. He said someone was trying to kill him. We called the Police and The Camp Management. The Police and ambulance showed up to take this guy away. Management never returned my calls and the guy that works there during the day avoided all eye contact with us. We didn't escalate it with them but was very disappointed in how they did not even address it with us. You'd think if you had 2 cops cars and an ambulance in your small business you'd want to understand what happened. My guess is this happens all the time. The cops were familiar with the man.
The simple solution is they need to install a gate with a code and other security measures. This area is just too close to multiple homeless camps, across from a strip club and very near a proposed permanent homeless shelter. Honestly can't believe we paid $91 a night for 5 nights to deal with this.
On a somewhat minor note this place is really loud. There is construction next door that starts at 5am, multiple car alarms that go off, street noise. Just be prepared for that. It might be worth the in town location for you to deal with this.
We really want to love this place and recommend it to other because the concept is so unique and the location close to everything in Bend. BUT there's the issue of safety that you need to consider that before booking. I'd call and make sure they have installed a gate or other type of security before booking a stay here.

Sites are tight. Expensive. Loud noise from road and train near bye. Bathrooms have a ten second timer on them it seems and in a bit of disrepair now. Fire pit area is really nice and so are the grills. Good location to town. Don’t expect to see or hear from anybody that works there. Called about smoke conditions and person that answered the phone couldn’t have been more rude. Highway noise is terrible almost at all hours. $100 a night is comical. These places are about to get a awakening on the market. Not worth it at all.

As mentioned by another reviewer, astro turf and small spaces so you need to lower the expectation. But it’s Bend, there’s not a lot to choose from and The Camp does its best to accommodate the surroundings. I’m glad it’s open year round and could see splitting days between The Camp and the Mt. Bachelor site in the winter. Lastly, The Camp tries to promote a social vibe with a community gas fire pit etc. Being an introvert, I’m holing up in my caravan but others may enjoy the company.
