“A Wonderful Area to Camp”
Welcome to Trailer Inns RV Park of Seattle / Bellevue, Washington! A trip to the great Pacific Northwest is not complete without visiting Seattle. Christened "The Emerald City", Seattle is known as one of the most livable cities in the world and actually receives less annual rainfall (36 inches) than New York and Atlanta. A scenic blend of mountains, evergreens, and flowered hillsides, the city is virtually surrounded by water with views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains and the indomitable 14,410- foot Mt. Rainier. Ferries cross the Puget Sound to Bainbridge and Vashon Islands and beyond to the San Juan Islands. With all the lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, and mountains, Seattle is a recreation enthusiasts' dream. In the summer, water sports are only 10 minutes away and winter sports, such as snow skiing and snowboarding, are only 45 minutes away. Some of the many attractions and services that are nearby include downtown shopping, local bus service, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, the University of Washington, the Space Needle, Seattle Center, Pike Place Market, Washington State Ferries, Museum of Flight, Pacific Science Center, the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Sounders, Century Link Field, Home of the Seattle Seahawks & Seattle Sounders, Safeco Field, Woodland Park Zoo, Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, Seattle Aquarium and the Snoqualmie Falls. For adventures a little farther afield, our area offers river, sound and lake fishing, golfing, 2 zoos, Northwest Trek, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainer and the Cascade Loop.

Look at the photos before deciding. Lots of reviews that start out with “okay for 1 night etc” that’s why I booked. Should have spent a little more time reading reviews. You are packed in so tight that we could not open the trailer door to get out. (I wondered why I had to sign a waiver that I wouldn’t damaged others property). It all made sense afterwards. We could not even open our step fully. My husband squeezed into the tow vehicle (our Toyota Sequoia which is much smaller than our Ram so think wisely of pulling w a truck) and then I could climb in after he pulled forward. The sewage dump made the parking even more tricky. It is under the rig. The guy comes out to watch and give you instructions. Probably to watch and make sure you don’t damage someone else’s property. You also cannot get your $$ back. Anyway, I won’t even get into the rest because it sounds like sour grapes but we have been on the road for 3.5 mos and Cabellas or Cracker Barrel would have been a better stop.

We stayed one night and were lucky enough to get a late check out (for $20 extra) so we could explore Seattle a little longer. It’s about 10 to 15 minutes from the city which was nice. Otherwise, feels like you are staying in a parking lot. Spaces are very close together. Not really a campground that you want to hang out outside. There was some highway noise, but not terrible. Not the friendliest staff, and they have lots of rules. We prefer to stay at friendlier, family friendly campgrounds if possible, but just couldn’t find much in this area. This was fine for a one night stay, and full hookups was a plus.

The office staff are super friendly and helpful. It is a large asphalt car park basically with a few trees thrown in. Decent sized spots, plenty enough for our 22ft Winnie and we were able to put our awning out. Originally I only booked for one night but changed it to 2 without a problem on arrival. The manager walked us to our site and helped us back in. Great facilities here. Laundry: $1.75 for normal load, $2.50 for dryer. It has a pool, spa and sauna. The showers are FREE. WiFi is not great. Apparently you can go to the TV room and use their wifi. My AT&T worked perfect. 14 mins by car to Seattle. I would def recommend this park for ease to city :)

The only reason we made reservations here was because it was so close to Seattle. However, we pulled into the campground (aka trashy parking lot) and literally pulled right back out! It is the only campground we have ever not been able to tolerate. It was very dirty and packed so tight - I don't even know if we'd be able to get our slide outs out. We have three kids and its' definitely not the kind of place I would want them in (and there's nowhere for them to go.) It looks at a freeway and is next to a strip mall. We have a 30 foot trailer and it would have been a huge headache trying to squeeze it in. We don't mind staying in "parking lots" that are clean and safe when the benefit is you're close to the things you want to see, but this was NOT worth it.
RECOMMENDATION: So without a place to stay, we drove half an hour out to Told MacDonald Park and Campground, to see if they had any availability. (You can make reservations more than a week in advance, otherwise it's first come first serve.) It is a serious gem. So BEAUTIFUL! Wonderful for kids - so much space, so serene and a quick walk to the cute little town. We loved it and would highly recommend it! We also stayed at Evergreen Fairgrounds for another few days - this one is a parking lot, but clean, safe, with full hook-ups, and a very sweet camp host.

An ok park with relatively high price for our 26” trailer. Convenient location though: close to Bellevue and Seattle for city exploration. The staff was very pretty friendly and helpful .

This post is mainly for you digital nomads out there - as most of the vacationing and retired folk can spend their time away from their trailer/RV. But if you are like us (large monitor toting computer nerds) then you know that getting work done in a noisy cafe on a laptop is not the ideal and you would rather stay in your trailer cave.
Outside of nerdom - trying to get our 34' trailer into a spot here was the hardest parking job we have encountered during our 1 year full time on the road. Imagine that scene from Austin Powers with the luggage cart in the hallway and you have a pretty good idea of what it looked like for us to get our triple axle in.
It's close to Bellevue which felt sterile, uninviting but at least full of malls and shopping for that yearly wardrobe update. Seattle is a >30 minutes drive and full of traffic and highway closures (at least when we were there).
Now on to the numbers...
Overall digital nomad rating: 4

ATTENTION!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE EVIL!!! Please read ALL of the negative reviews about this campground, and stay here at your own risk. We didn’t read the reviews and we regretted it. Our experience: We checked in for five days. I had to fly to Philadelphia for business and on my return to Seattle, my plane was delayed and almost canceled due to bad weather. My wife, who is in her seventies and is disabled, told the manager that we might need a late checkout. Veronica, the manager, proceeded to scold my wife saying, “Your husband should have planned for something like that and come back a day sooner etc.” She then asked if my wife if she knew how to hook up the RV and move it out or know someone who could do it for her. When my wife answer no, she said that she would have our RV towed off the lot if it was still there after check out. In her previous job, Veronica must have been a warden in a woman’s prison and probably got fired for being too rude to inmates. (We found out later that she is the general manager/owner’s daughter, so is likely she is not able to keep a job elsewhere.) We ended up leaving their half empty “parking lot” ten minutes after their checkout time. The next day I checked my credit card online and found that she made an unauthorized $50 late charge on my credit card.
I disputed it and my card company returned my money. People, do yourself a favor and find another place to stay, any place, but don’t stay here!!

We, like most, stayed here only for its proximity to the city. Great freeway access and a Safeway within walking distance. I gave it 2 stars only because of the good customer service and location. On a negative note, I have never seen so many signs and rules in an RV park- there was a sign for everything they didn’t want you to do (don’t dye your hair in the bathroom, don’t leave your laundry more than 5 min, don’t park here or we will tow you, no pay no stay, no kids on the folding table, and so on. All of these things are valid concerns, but come on?! It feels so rigid and unwelcoming. Also, there is absolutely the least pet friendly place I have ever stayed in our 7 months of full time RVing. They say they have a pet walk, but it is actually just a grass area in the front of the property that you have to walk your pet all the way out of the park in order to get to. We were the farthest site from the pet area and our dogs were rarely able to make it to the grass before relieving themselves on the asphalt- there was a sign against that as well. Not likely to stay again or recommend.

Booked same day we stayed. Most guests are long term staying the summer or a few months for work. Quiet people wise, little highway noise, but not bad. Really no additional amenities, and limited front desk staff. We never saw an employee our 2 day stay. Perfect for us as we came in 6pmish, and spent the next full day downtown Seattle. Washing machines expensive and not all functioning. No dollar/coin exchange machines, and no staff to get coins. Fit our 37 ft motorhome with towable car on site, though no extra room.

It is a parking lot--although a large one and quite busy. Many long-termers, but it is well kept and clean. Very nice and friendly staff, with clean bathrooms and the normal amenities. WiFi, but not great. We had trouble finding a good location in/near Seattle, but settled on this one. It was not really that bad--nice and quiet neighbors, functional amenities, and friendly. The entrance/exit was interesting onto a 1-way street, but the location in Bellevue was quite convenient. Would likely stay again if we are in the area, as there are not all that many options and this was quite functional.
