We loved this place! This historic hatchery produces rainbow trout, which you can fish on site at their pond or on their creek. There is a short walking trail around the creek that leads to some restful vistas.

This free boondocking spot is basically a field with trees on one side and open space on the other. We chose a spot with partial shading so we would get some amount of solar but still be able to leave easily if the place became crowded (which it didn't; there were never more than 10 other rigs there at once).

It is free, but there is a donation box by the entrance.

Tall rigs watch out: the trees on the road by the campsites start to get pretty low, so you'll need to pull into the field before that happens to avoid scraping your roof.

I liked this one enough to actually stay for almost 2 whole weeks! Unfortunately, my last night was the Thursday before Labor Day weekend, and it got remarkably busy and loud that night. There was a lot of traffic as I left Friday, also--more than I had seen the whole 2 weeks prior. That to say, this is probably not a very wonderful spot on busy, holiday weekends. Otherwise, it's an absolutely lovely spot, though.

I actually mostly wanted a spot that would give me reasonable access to Craters of the Moon, and this worked pretty well. Craters' campground was closed for renovations when I was here, but this spot was free anyway!

There's not much a view or anything to look at, without walking or driving away from camp, and it's a bit of a drive to anything, really. But I spent a whole weekend at Craters, and one day in Boise, when I could afford the time aside from work. Although I didn't find this spot all that exciting, on its own, it worked great for my purposes while getting work done for the 2 weeks I was here.

I never even turned on my cell booster, here. Verizon LTE just worked wonderfully on its own for me. All of my work needs, streaming TV, Skype, and more. Didn't have any problem with any of it, really!

This is most certainly a spot on my list to stay at again in the future.

We came in mid September and the grass had all dried up and things were looking less like the photos provided. The football field size area top camp was pretty well occupied when we arrived, with at least half clearly living here despite the 16-day limit. Generators were the norm for many RVs. Expect the gentle rumble of your neighbors starting at 7am and running well after dark. The place we chose was littered in old charcoal and used cat liter. No trash cans and it seems no one really polices the area either, so it isn't perfect. Other than that, the place was actually nice enough, but after getting spoiled with weeks upon weeks in national forests, this just didn't cut it, so we moved on quickly.

This is essentially a big field with somewhat defined campsites along the road and room for interpretation along the other side. It is really easy to access, good cell signal, and fairly busy. There were a number of other campers there when we arrived, some of whom seemed like long-timers - and one camp host. generators were common but no "over nighters" during our stay. There is a ton of fishing opportunities of you're into that, otherwise the nature trail makes for a nice little walk.

We camped over on the far side from the road (which is really next to the main road but with a row of growth between it) and nestled into a tree grove in the corner of the field. This is probably the best spot by our judgement.

There isn't much else to say about this campsite, it is a very accessible and utilitarian site to get some work done for a few days while you travel across the Goodale's Cutoff region of Idaho. We would highly recommend the Crater of the Moon National Monument nearby.

We really liked this spot. The campground is a large flat area that can fit any size rig, where you can park under trees or in a open field. Access was very easy. There are vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables and fresh water. Cell and internet service worked well.

If you are a fisherman I suggest coming here. There are 20 inch plus trout all over around here in the numerous streams, rivers, and lagoons. Right in the campground there is a "lagoon" loaded with 3 kinds of trout that you can catch all day long. We also saw 5 Moose walk through our campground within 30 yard of our RV.

This makes a good spot to go explore Craters of the Moon National Monument as well, it is only a 35-40 minute drive. You should come prepared when you come here, not much around. There is a gas station with a mart about 3 miles away. This did seem like a popular spot with the hunters as well, but never came close to filling up.

What a great place. It is easy to get to, has space for anyone and anything. Big groups love it as well! Don't expect privacy, but it was still a great place to stay!

It was a great place to use as a base as you explore Sun Valley. Ketchum ID is by far my favorite town I have been to yet. I hiked up Bald Mountain, and was given views that were unbelievable!!!

Verizon was awesome. Very strong signal. Sprint was VERY spotty. One minute I would have LTE, than it would be roaming. Don't count on it working. I am saying no service for Sprint.

For free, just great. Perfect Verizon cell and internet. Easy access off 20. I made a very short YouTube video.

Free, easily accessible, grassy campground with some trees, gravel roads, fire pits, and some picnic tables. View of the mountains all around. Water spigot by camp host. Except for a few campers constant running generators this is a great little campground. 3 bars LTE cell service with T-Mobile. Would definitely camp here again.

I drove the toad to check it out. glad I did. there is a tractor blocking the road. park is closed because of covid. sign says until further notice. looks nice though. If in the area again, I would stay here. maybe 1 - 2 off the main road, so I would imagine it is quiet.
