Nice gravel level well spaced sites. Many are along the lake.
Verizon had good download speeds but upload was very poor even with a booster. Didn't have my directional Yagi with me but if you have one it might help.
Verizon 2 bars Booster on 5.17/.51 mbps down/up. And yes it really is a decimal 51.

Many of the spaces here are right on the water and most appeared level. It's a busy park, and and most campers seemed to be local and there to fish. The boat ramp was in great condition. Not alot of shade, but nice breezes.
It's the first park that we'd seen with a fenced in dog park. That was nice, but here's the best part: SD regulations permit dogs off leash as long when they are 200 feet away from (and not disturbing) others as long as they are under their owner's control. This was a huge plus for us! The big prairies in the park quickly became our own dog parks and the areas of open lakefront were a favorite of the dogs'.
In addition to all the recreation opportunities offered by the lake, there are miles of dirt road for riding and running. Outside of the this park (and reviewed separately) is a huge shoreline where dispersed camping is allowed.

The first day and night the wind was incredible! But the following day and the day we left were gorgeous! Clean campground, we were there during the week so it wasn’t busy at all. Grandsons enjoyed the playground and attempting to catch fish from the shore. There are primitive sites here also in the West side of the reservoir, no charge. Would love to come back.

This place must be incredibly popular during the summer. How lucky you South Dakotans are! Very helpful staff when arriving last night (paid the $6 vehicle fee) and then made the site payment with the agent on the phone who was also very nice. Emailed receipt all total was $31.97 - so in addition to the $6 gate fee, the campground was $21, a $2 phone reservation fee, a $7.70 non-resident fee and $1.27 in taxes. No complaints, just saying that it adds up to $37.97 for a night. But couldn't be happier. T-Mobile just fine with a booster. This is one of those parks where there are no bad sites.
Update: Found the dog park! (in the very middle of the huge central grassy area up on the hill - follow the mowed paths). It may not be the biggest dog park but it probably has the best views of any.

Nice campground on the lake. Windy but site 17 had nice shelter. Large sites a plus. Vault toilet and water close to the site. Electric at all sites. Bathhouse was very clean and great showers. We were just passing through but would have stayed a few more days if we had time. Nightly fee included $7.50 charge for out of state visitors. You also need a park pass to enter. We had one from another park we stayed in (SD) which was transferrable.

Really nice campground. Almost all the sites are right up on the beach/water. Everything’s very level and the grass is gorgeous. Biggest dog park I’ve ever seen, with nice little grassy trails. The sites aren’t super far apart so when everybody rolled in at the weekend it felt considerably less posh, but mid-week it was great. The showers run hot to hottish-warm — four stalls that feel a little claustrophobic/dated but get the job done.
Dispersed camping on the other side of the reservoir is great/ample/free!

We stayed here 8/25/20. The campground was very well maintained. The site we were in was large and not far from the water. The site had electrical service only. There was potable water and a dump station available. Other amenities at the park included a beach, boat ramp, dog park, flush toilets, showers (only open in season check website for dates), game checkout, picnic shelter, playground, and vault toilets. The park is also set up for the following recreational activities: archery range, boating, camping, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, horseshoes, swimming, and volleyball. It’s worth saying twice that the grounds were extremely clean and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in the condition of the park. We enjoyed a spacious site and the fact that the sites in this section had electrical service meant that there was no generator noise. It made for a very serene stay.

Very Nice campground with 50amp electric, potable water available and a dump station. Sites are large and well maintained and pretty level side to side maybe a little off front to back but not bad. Nice clean shower and restroom facilities. Boat launch and water front sites. Definitely a nice CG. Stayed in a Motorhome.
