“a 65-acre, year-round camping park on 3,720 feet of saltwater shoreline”
Wetlands, pebble beaches, tidal flats and salmon runs are the stuff that Puget Sound’s made of. You will find those features and more at Belfair State Park. Located on Hood Canal between Shelton and Bremerton, the park’s gentle breezes offer ideal conditions for kite-flying, windsurfing and kicking back on a warm summer day. Anglers can choose from fresh and saltwater fishing, and kayakers can push off onto the Cascadia Marine Trail and explore the Puget Sound waterways. Regular summer interpretive programs, grass fields, warm waters and a playground will occupy the shortest attention spans, and the park’s cozy cabins ensure a mellow evening time. Those who have tents or RVs will find ample camping, but during the summer, you won’t have the park to yourself. Whether you’re a solo canoeist out for a paddle or a family of four in a camper, you’re sure to make new friends and memories at Belfair State Park.
We had to cancel our RV reservation due to a change in plans; this state park charged me HALF OF MY ENTIRE STAY to cancel. I made the reservation 6 days prior and canceled the next day! They have THREE SEPARATE FEES they charge when you cancel! Buyers BEWARE!
Beautiful park with great campgrounds in different areas. It's also right on Hood canal so all kinds of water activities are available. Lots of stuff to do but can get very crowded and tight during peak season.
