“24 foot fire hydrant!”
Located in Beaumont, Texas. This 24 foot tall black and white spotted hydrant was erected in 1999. Unfortunately, for Beaumont, all good things were meant to end when Columbia, South Carolina erected a 39 foot hydrant, breaking Beaumont's record by 15 feet!
Cute, not busy and easy off/on the highway. No gas or stops nearby if you are trying to plan
Great roadtrippy place to stop for a photo op and get back on your way. :)
visited on a Saturday and the only ones here. plenty of parking, not the easiest to access because of the weird intersection. lots of regular sized hydrants surrounding it. very manicured area with benches and a pavilion.
Really awesome visit here! The little park area around the hydrant is very well kept and is all a memorial area in front of the fire station. Super awesome!!!!
Super cute roadside attraction. Great way to confuse your dog. Gas stations on the exit off I-10, found one in town less than mile away from the hydrant and museum.
Brilliant place to stop and if you get there before 4.30 you can pop into the museum too.
Great photo opportunity.
It was fun and easy to get to. It's not a true road trip unless you stop at places like this!
Pretty neat! Great tribute to firefighters.
Fun photo op but get right back on the highway. Surrounding area was questionable
Cute pitstop for a photo op. Not too far off I-10 so it's quick to getting back on the road.
