Enter from Main Street onto 12th Street or 11th Street. Well-manicured city park. Three first-come, gravel, back-in, quiet sites wit water/20A/30A/50A free for first 2 nights and $10 per night thereafter, with a port-a-John toilet, located on southeast side of Park on 11th Street. Sites sloped to the back and somewhat to the south side. New pavilion with 4 picnic tables was across the street. A street light and trash dumpter was on corner just across street from RV area. Public pool at southwest corner of Park with showers in Pool house and 2 exterior-facing restrooms were all locked at time of our stay. There were tennis courts and a basketball court, all in disrepair, at northeast corner of Park. Eight OTA TV channels available. City police officer patrolled at least once each day. Coin laundry couple of blocks down on Main Street. Chimney Rock National Historic Site 5 miles to south. Scotts Bluff National Monument and Walmart Supercenter 24 miles to west. Free City dump was 10 blocks southwest at 298 5th Street.

Traveling thru for a rest. Across from park. Free power. Two day limit. Not much around but keep it clean and be a good neighbor. Stop at the diner. Also free dump across town. 41°45'19.4"N 103°19'34.7"W

The city of Bayard offers free hookups and water across the street from a beautiful park and next door to a cornfield. It is so peaceful and just what my soul needed. I’d stay here forever but I must move on. HIGHLY recommend

This isn't "camping," but rather a rest stop on the way to other places.
We are so grateful for the free power and water hookups! It's next to a lovely park and a cornfield.
The town of Bayard is nearly a ghost town! Most shops are closed permanently.
There is a nice golf course we went to. There was only one other person there.
We went swimming at the pool. Only $3 a person! It was nice to cool off.
Trains go by at various times each night and day.

Thank you, City of Bayard, for the FREE power and water hookups. There are 3 sites available; 2 nights are free. Additional nights are $10/night.
We got to enjoy a nice swim at the pool, just a 5 minutes' walk away ($3/person).
You may hear faint noises from trains throughout the night, but it shouldn't bother your sleep.

We stayed here for 1 night after seeing Scotts Bluff. It was about a 30 minute drive from there. The next morning, we headed to check out Chimney Rock. We pulled into the park when the sun was starting to go down. There were 3 other RV's there, and we got the last spot. So 4 spots total. They had both 30 and 50 AMP available, as well as a 110 plug in, along with water. There's a free dump site just down the road, but we didn't need it. It smelled strong of cows when we got in, but the next morning was beautiful and the smell was completely gone. It was a great, free overnight spot. 1st 2 nights are free and then $10/night after that. We could hear trains occasionally, but nothing too crazy. The park is very pretty and quiet. We felt very safe there.

Great Place. Folks At The City Office were very nice. I stayed three nights total & the first 2 nights are still free. However, the extra nights are now $25 per night. Just happened a couple weeks ago & office manager has a new sign ordered.

Free electric at 50, 30 and 20. City Water hookups. Spent two nights here. A nice park right next to these spots with picnic tables and a children's park nearby. They also had a city pool less than 2 minutes walk but it was closed probably due to the season. Basketball court if you've brought your ball. I would park furthest away from the gas exchange station located at the back of the spots as it can be loud in the night. The town has a great bar with some craft beer choices and domestics. Food is more than tasty. I called the office before arriving and they were helpful with information regarding the spots available. If you are passing it's a great spot for a few nights. There is a free dump station about .5 miles away in town with non portable water. 5/5 will come again. Thanks Bayard!
