The Kimball House Museum is a Queen Anne style Victorian house museum, which was built in 1886 as the family home for three generations of physicians. The museum also serves as Battle Creek’s local history museum. Several rooms are interpreted as upper middle class Victorian life and reflect the Kimball family story. There are special exhibit rooms focusing on the Battle Creek Sanitarium and Sojourner Truth. Displays of special interest to children and families include the pioneer room and general store, as well as the servant’s quarters. Gift shop. Open Sunday 1-4 PM and by appointment. School tours and tour groups are welcome with advanced reservations. Special seasonal family events and the Heritage Monday Night programs are held at the museum on a regular basis.
