Binder Park Zoo...Named One of America's Best Zoos!
This zoo was amazing! Its nice for people who love the out doors, lots of walking and michigan forest. Its true they don't have a lion or tiger. But they have a snow leopard, wolves and a cheeta which make up for it. As for no monkeys, I'm going to guess th last review just missed them, there were different species, no chimps tho. Feeding the giraffes was great! Also theres a tram which is free and takes you to the wild africa part of the zoo so you don't have to walk over a mile to get there but have the choice to if you love hiking. Over my husband and I were very pleased. The only word of caution ia to bring bug repellent because it is a mostly forested park and the mosquitoes were kind bad.
We did not care for this zoo. The highlight of the visit was being able to feed the giraffes. That part was cool, but not worth it. Very limited number of animal species. No Lions, Tigers, Monkeys, Elephants etc. They had a lot of field animals like zebra, impala, and ostrich which were not easy to see because they were in a large open area. We started walking on a trail and spent 30 minutes walking in the woods with zero animals to view. We won't be going back to this zoo.
