“Flying in fresh crab from Louisiana year-round!”
As one might expect, the Crackpot wins numerous awards for its hot, steamed crabs – the most recent being Towson magazine in 2013 and Baltimore magazine in 2013. As the popularity of the Crackpot grew – so did its menu. Baltimore magazine selected the Crackpot for its “Best of Baltimore” Award for seafood restaurants. Towson magazine also has featured the Crackpot many times in its reader's survey as the Best Seafood Restaurant in Towson. As recently as 2013, the Crackpot restaurant and its traditional Maryland crab cakes were repeat winners. The restaurant offers a casual and comfortable nautical setting. It is famous as the classic Baltimore "retro" crab house and seafood restaurant. The original crab traps still hang from oars that extend over many of the tables. The walls are adorned with many varieties of fish including a seven foot sailfish and swordfish. Portholes and ship lanterns add to the ambiance. 4 large flat screen TV's are mounted to allow patrons to watch sporting events. The Crackpot features an impressively varied dinner menu that crosses the line from seafood to steaks, prime rib, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, ribs and more. Our lunch menu runs from noon till 3:00 pm. The crackpot also offers a 15% off early bird dinner special from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Our friendly & efficient staff will try their hardest to make your visit an experience you will want to repeat.
