“Where the Ouija was named”
The spot where the Ouija board got its name! The city and the Talking Board Historical Society put in the historic Ouija Plaque, which now resides inside the 7-11. The location of the 7-11 is also the original building which was standing when Ouija got its name 125 years ago.
Very cool piece of Ouija history!
Interesting piece but it’s literally on the wall inside a 7/11, so not interactive or a great photo— we just got a photo of the plaque that says Ouija in the background. The story behind the Ouija board is interesting but we didn’t stop to read, because it’s right at the entrance in the way. They employee didn’t know anything about it either, I guess it’s not part of their training haha.
Baltimore really is the birthplace of the Ouija. First they get a gravestone that looks like a Ouija board for the guy who first patented the boards, Elijah Bond . Now this plaque inside of a 7-11 for where the board was named. Great to see the city embrace their Ouija history.
Enjoyed the opportunity to visit the actual location where Ouija was named.
