Perfect little campground. clean and well maintained. Just off the highway, but quiet enough. While there is free camping nearby, for $20 we were able to dump,, refill our tanks and charge our computers. There is a nice restaurant on site and reasonable gas station. Long level sites, full hookups!

This is a big open and level gravel lot with very long campsites and plenty of room. It’s very utilitarian but has everything you need. Handful of full timers with sites that were dressed up. There is a gas station and bar/restaurant on the property. Steaks looked good but I already ate. Felt very safe and it was quiet at night with a little highway sound.

We pulled off I-10 to stay for the night on a cross-country trip. This park is just off the exit and you drive through the gas station entrance to get here, but the park is remarkably quiet and scenic for being in the middle of the desert and right next to the highway. We arrived around 4:30 pm on a Friday and the office wasn't open. They have a dropbox that tells you to find a spot and pay the nightly rate in the dropbox. The restaurant is closed, but if you need anything at the gas station, it is very close. For $20, we have water, sewer, and electricity. The T-Mobile cell service is amazing, but there aren't over-the-air TV channels. The sites are a little close together, but the first half have pretty desert plants between each site. There are clearly some long-term residents, but we felt safe and welcome and would definitely come back as a stopover.

Rolling through and spent a night. Winter weather warning tonight and this worked out great for us to plug in, warm up, and catch winks.

This place is a great, easy stop on a long trip. The sites are a nice size, and pull through sites make it easy to arrive anytime, even after dark. We just put our money in an envelope provided at the office and dropped it in the box...super easy. This was just a quick, overnight stop for us, so we didn't go to the local eatery or to the gas station, but it was nice to know it was there if we needed. It's right off the interstate so there is some traffic noise but nothing unbearable.

Large sites... easy in and out. Right next to Gas/Diesel station so very convenient. Nothing fancy but level and have what you need.

This place is very easy and convenient to break up a long drive. Each site has full hook-ups. There is an office building towards the back that you drop your $ in a drop box. There was no envelopes, so I used a USDI one I had and wrote the site # and date. You definitely hear freeway noise, but to be expected next to the freeway. They had a newer ice/filtered water shack which was quite nice. The Valero has a little store and hot food area. The restaurant next door was not open when we were there.

For a quick overnight this place can't be beat. Right off I10, but you don't hear the road noise. Put $20 in the provided envelope at the little shed, no one inside. There are a few full timers but no one even comes out of thier rigs much, let alone come over and talks to you. We've stayed here 2 times and both times we got here early enough to sit outside for a little bit and enjoy the sunset over the mountains.

The previous reviewer said you couldn't hear freeway noise. That's false. This place is literally right off the freeway, so of course you will hear it. And since it's right next to a truck stop you can hear a little of that too. However, the noise isn't horrible. Just wanted to clear that up.

This place is about as easy as it gets as far as freeway access: get off the exit, turn into the Valero gas station and the RV park is right there off to the right, on the other side of the Saddleback Steakhouse. This is a self-serve RV park. There's a small unattended office in the middle of the park with a sign out front that says pick a spot and then put your $20 (per night) payment in one of the provided envelopes and drop it in the box. So yes, this is the honor system and there doesn't seem to be anyone really monitoring anything. Don't be the cheapass who sneaks in and out without paying. It's well worth the $20 for being able to charge up, fill up, dump out, and have a safe place to stay for the night.

All sites are pull through, but the ones on the north side (closer to the freeway) are much longer. Big rig friendly. All in all it's perfect for an overnight stay but I couldn't imagine staying for more than a night or two. However, there's a few permanents living here and they seem to keep to themselves.

This was a great place to stop for the night after a long day traveling across Texas. The sites are all pull-through with full hook-ups. There are so many spaces I can’t imagine they would ever fill up, at least until the state park re-opens ... in other words I wouldn’t even worry about calling ahead for now. The sites closer to the freeway are divided by native cacti and plants, the ones further back are bare. I was surprised to find a little nature trail right next to the RV park with great birdwatching. There’s also a beautiful view of the Davis mountains in the distance.
