“ideal homebase for excursions”
Make Bakersfield RV Travel Park your headquarters while vacationing and touring California's central valley. Our RV park is ideal for anyone planning excursions into the central or southern Sierras. Some of the nation's most beautiful natural parks are within easy driving distance, such as Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite. The local area has plenty to offer, too, including RV camping, campgrounds, RV travel parks and resorts, Buck Owens' Crystal Palace, Bakersfield Museum of Art, or the California Living Museum. Watch racing, sports, go golfing, horseback riding, or rafting down the Kern River. A peaceful alternative is to just relax and enjoy the sunshine in our grassy, tree-shaded RV park.

I paid $26 with Escapees and was totally surprised. All the sites have nice picnic tables & full hook ups with great cable with tons of channels. loads and loads of grass, which is great if you're traveling with a furbuddy. There are nice little table & barbeque areas around and the place is immaculate. Spots are tight, to be sure. But they're well laid out so you don't feel like you're in your neighbor's space. (or their kids are in yours). The freight train does run nearby, but not at night. It didn't bother me at all and I'm a light sleeper. I did not check out the restrooms, but given how tidy the rest of the place is, I would have to figure they are nice enough. All the sites are pull throughs, however some are doubles so if you're the one behind and you leave before the one in front, you may have to back out. I have a little teeny MH, so I'm used to that. If you're a biggie or draggin a toad, you would get your own. Staff is darling and friendly and helpful. Very happy here.

Stopped here for one night to knock out tasks before heading off the grid. The laundry was efficient and decently priced, the showers clean and warm, the front desk staff friendly and eager to help. WiFi was fast enough to stream and there was an impressive list of cable channels.
All spots are $35 with full hookups and cable. Discount clubs (AAA & Escapees) brought my total down to $29.
Nightly sites are close to the front entrance, with the rest of the sites taken up by monthly or seasonal rigs. The sites that I could see were kept neat. Each site has a picnic table and a bit of grass - a luxury compared to many RV parks.
Not to suggest that this park is luxurious. It’s not, but it’s serviceable and met my needs. There are nearby train tracks and though the train ran through the night, it didn’t bother me. The park is in a more industrial/rural part of town, and convenient if traveling from the east.
My next door neighbors, who looked to be seasonal, were kind and chatty. They warned us to keep our small items inside as things had been “walking away” recently. Still, didn’t feel unsafe here. The neighbors waved us over as we were getting ready to leave and loaded us up with fresh oranges and bananas.

My motorhome had a radiator problem in Bakersfield so I had to stay to get work done.
First off, the staff is so friendly and helpful I felt right at home. They had no problem with the mobile mechanic coming to do the work. The office staff all live on the grounds. The grounds are kept very nice. Every site has a grassy area, a cement pad with a picnic table, large shade trees, and the pull through pad with full hookups. The pull through sites are parallel to the park road. The laundromat was quite adequate. The bathrooms with showers were really clean and the showers are free and hot. There is a small, fenced area for dogs at the back of the park and there are other picnic areas. The pool looks great. WiFi was not secure so I used my hotspot. The back of the park borders Hwy 58 and the front is on a main street plus there is a train nearby so there is a bit of noise. This park is in town but for me with the mechanical problems, that worked out great.
Many folks have lived in this park for years.
