After trying numerous Walmarts, we found this great casino tucked away south west of Phoenix. We called when we arrived and they were very welcoming. After arriving to the gravel parking lot on the south end, the security came by and was very helpful. He informed us of overly friendly coyotes, so be aware with your pets. It's a short walk to the casino, which if you can the security guard will give you a ride in his golf cart. The casino is one of the nicer ones we've been to. There is even a dumpster at the end of the lot for garage service.
You are sharing this lot with truckers so you may head them running all night but that didn't bother us.
This was our 1st casino boondocking experience and it did not disappoint. There is a well marked designated RV parking area with multiple forms of RV's and some OTR trucks parked in a gravel section south of the casino. The lot was fairly level and the view was fantastic! It was reasonably quiet, 1 semi was running a quiet generator for their refrigerated trailer but once asleep it was not noticed. It's an easy walk to the casino that had good food and well maintained. We never felt unsafe, security made many loops around the property. We would definitely stay there again.
Large gravel lot next to the hotel side of the casino. Follow the signs for RV and semi parking. Security circled the lot several times while we stayed which helped us feel safer. There were only a couple semis and a handful of vans and campers when we stayed making it nice and quiet. The casino staff we encountered were all friendly and let us use the restrooms as many times as we needed to.
Gravel, dirt area
Very friendly security
Informed only 1 night allowed at all Gila River casinos
Seems that many Arizona casinos have become unwelcoming to Rv travelers.
Casino was nice, clean and staff was friendly.
Food at cafe was good. Great service.
Checked in with security on arrival, you can stay for 24 hours. Clean casino with a hamburger joint, panda express, ice cream, bar/lounge, and restaurant. We ate at Panda Express. Enrolled in player cards and had $60 in free play. Ended up with a net profit for the stop. Cool breezes at night, very pleasant 57 by morning. Several semis in lot but no other rv’s. Very quiet, probably due to low night time temps. Easy access from 202, which apparently does not exist on our RV GPS. Waze worked better.
We just needed a spot to stop for the night. It was nice, quiet except semis running but that didn’t bother us. We felt very safe here! Area to walk the dogs too.
Nice casino. Cars packed in front of casino but garage appears to be empty. Gravel lot but did not see security nearby. Two large dumpsters in the lot along with a unhooked trailer. We ended up not staying the night.
Second time staying here.
Easy on and off highway.
Gravel lot on the side of the casino.
Lots of big rigs, one class a.
Trucks run their engines all night, but it didn’t bother us.
Casino staff is less than friendly.
Masks required in casino.
Almost no cell service even with weboost. Enough to send a text.
Trash and broken glass everywhere.
My RV is under 20’ so it fits in a regular parking space. I parked just out from the parking structure, which is valet only. The lot has some nearly flat spaces, there were only 10 cars when I fell asleep and only 4 when I woke up. Just a steady hum of traffic going by and no one bothered me. Saw city busses picking up and dropping off at a kiosk near the parking garage throughout the evening. Verizon cell signal was good.
I asked the security guard on the golf cart if it was ok to park for the night and he said yes, no problem, you just have to park at the very back of the lot, you’ll see other cars, RV’s and trucks, plenty of parking. There is also a gravel lot to the side with several trucks and I saw an RV but it’s your choice where to park as long as it’s furthest back from the front of the casino and hotel.
I also went in and had fries at fat burger, there is a couple other fast food places that are good.
Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful.
