This gravel parking lot is 1/4 mile off I17 Exit for Rocks Springs. The Cafe is know for their famous pies, they also have a great outdoor entertainment area. For the entertainment, they have a overflow parking lot which is where I stayed. It was fairly quiet at far end of lot near desert line. They even have fire rings dispersed here & there.
There is a nearby "Desert Park" (?) has hiking trail, bathrooms, ball field, playground plus a sewer dump for $15.
When we inquired at the cafe we were told that we could stay for 24 hours maximum. Flat gravel parking, easy in and out. Some traffic noise, though it does get quieter during the night
Very easy off the interstate. Very large parking area for any size rig. Several others here tonight, but plenty of room to be separated Site is level gravel lot for the most part. The Rock Spring Cafe has really good blueberry pie by the way 🙂. Your can hear the interstate traffic some, but not a problem.
We loved finding this flat, private & quiet stop-over. Glorious stars overnight.
We walked over to the Rock Springs Cafe for pie at night. It was jammed with regulars & well deserved reputation for the "best pie in Arizona". We stopped in again for breakfast before heading off.
We spent one night in the large parking area next to Rock Springs Cafe. Sign says 12 hours but I suspect you could stay a couple days and no one would care. This is a huge, flat parking area with plenty of room for any size rig on the right just before you get to the cafe. The highway noise was a bit loud because it is so close.
We did not eat at the cafe but when I walked in a group was complaining about the poor service. I had to try one of the famous pies to go but was not impressed. It was $23 and I didn't think it was any better than you could get at the local grocery store. I did read a review that mentioned it is not what it used to be so maybe they changed over the years.
Cell service was very good. Download 40Mbps and upload 29Mbps with T-Mobile. Download 79Mbps and upload 12Mbps with AT&T.
We stopped here on our way north toward Prescott. It was a great alternative to a Walmart stay. Easy access just off of I-17. The parking lot is huge and fairly level, and like others there is some road noise, but nothing to bad. We were the only ones there the night we stayed. The care is a short walk over with good food and better pie 😊
Stayed 2 nights. Coyotes at night hiking during the day. Big rigs ok. We have 2 big 5th wheels and still plenty of room in a fairly comfortable gravel parking lot. Lots of cacti and rocks on easy trails nearby.
Will save this spot as a favorite.
Great large open dirt lot with ample room for 20 rv’s. Parked near the back for a little less road noise. 7 rigs parked here overnight. Felt very safe. Pie from the cafe was delicious.
A great place for overnight. We parked by the tree. We didn’t notice road noise. The bonus is that the cafe has great food. We both enjoyed our meal.
Huge gravel area, can accommodate any size coach and many of us :)
Close to the road, but didn’t hear car at all. The restaurant near by is very convenient!
