“Two campsites close by”
Ten X Campground is located just off Hwy 180 4.3 miles south of the Grand Canyon Village. Ten X is primarily used as an overflow campground for the more heavily used campgrounds along the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Of the 70 campsites, 18 are regular family sites and 52 are pull through allowing for trailers up to 22' in length. Larger families may be accommodated at the discretion of the campground host. Firewood can be obtained at the camp host or by hunting for dead or downed wood in the surrounding areas. Adjacent to the Ten X campground is the Charlie Tank Group Campground. Reservations for the Charlie Tank site can be made by calling 928-638-2443. Water is available at Ten X.
Great campsite that's not too expensive or too far from the southern rim. Also, there were some elk that liked to roam around the campsite. They aren't bothered by humans, maybe because everyone leaves them be and just take pictures from a distance.
Very nice dry campground about 3 miles from the south RIM entrance. Sites are very big and there mature trees. There's no hookups and no dump station here. If you need to dump tanks, go inside the Grand Canyon campgrounds.
