BBQ in Texas is smoked nightly for the next day's patrons. Many places like Franklins BBQ run out by 1pm and they recommend their customers over to places like Blue Ox. We took the 10 minute drive over to Blue Ox and it was very much worth it! Located on the patio of The Buzz Mill, which is a Coffee House and Bar, you can order drinks at the Buzz Mill and BBQ from Blue Ox and enjoy the live music that Austin is known for on the patio. The place was bustling with a very cool crowd of Austin folks. We tried the ribs, brisket and a few sides. Everything was perfection, fresh and not reheated! So happy we stopped here on the first night of our road trip.
