“an austin graffiti mecca”
This is one of those Austin gems that really showcases what the city is all about. It’s one of the largest graffiti walls in Austin, full of life, character and charm. You can climb around and see so many different layers to the art, and it also has a pretty incredible view of downtown. You really have to just venture out there yourself to fully appreciate it.
If there's one place that’s the mecca of Austin street art, it’s the Hope Outdoor Gallery on Baylor Street! We had an incredible time exploring this "living" art project when we visited earlier this spring.
We had no idea ahead of time, but you're welcome to bring your own spray paint and make an addition to the wall when you visit.
Great photo ops! Wished I would have thought to bring spray paint myself to leave our mark. We spend at least an hour climbing the walls and checking out the different art. Very unexpected enjoyment!
Amazing! You can climb around and there are often spray cans lying around so you can leave your mark. A great art instillation that is worth your time!
Amazing public art by very talented Austin artists. If you're lucky you'll see someone at work, but be sure to stand downwind as the paint is stinky and the overspray will drift.
Great place to visit! Though everyone calls it Graffiti Park. Bring a few paint cans!
Amazing place to visit and take photos. So much creativitiy in one space! Must see!
It says it is on private property but there were a lot of people visiting today through the day, climbing around. Someone was even cleaning up lights and props as they have a theatre troupe that puts on shows here on weekends! Very interesting place, some great graffiti art (and some not-so-appealing graffiti of names and such. Don't understand how someone can scrawl "Alice loves Keith" over a literal work of art... Tacky IMO). Definitely somewhere worth seeing (and the camping gear/toy shop nearby is super cool- whole earth)
Amazing place to visit! Loved all the art big and small. I think it's really neat that you can even leave your own mark even if you aren't very talented with graffitti.
awesome places for photoshoots. The graffiti arts are always changing. So many talented artists!~
This place is called the crown on the castle. It's a climb to get to the top but worth the effort. Mostly quality art
