The long hike is absolutely worth it! We did the entire round trip hike in one day but i would not recommend doing that unless you are well conditioned. We saw many people that backpacked/camped along the way. Lots of different terrain. We went in October and there were still some signs of flooding in areas. The trails were easy to spot and navigate.
The Conundrum Hot Springs are located 8.5 miles from Conundrum Creek Trailhead off of Castle Creek Road in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. The hot spring complex contains two main pools and four smaller springs that together discharge approximately 130 GPM with a max temperature just over 100 degrees F (each pool varies).
