Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 19, 2023This RV park is thoughtfully designed with many spots facing the lake. They also have beach front areas right in front of your doorstep. Not a lot of privacy, but spots are angled so that you view the lake and not your neighbors. Paved and flat and clean, with fire pits and picnic tables.
The bathrooms are well maintained and heated, with hot water. There are (3) separate rooms for showers that take quarters.
It was very quiet and unpopulated on a Thursday in winter, when we went. However, we did hear a train go by about 8am.

Many sites at the park have a wonderful view of the lake. Some of the sites are big rig friendly. There is a nice walking trail in the park. We look forward to returning in the future.

This is a beautiful park with views of the lake from every site. The turn into the RV section is a bit tight, but otherwise access is good for any size rig. You'll block the road when unhooking your toad, but folks are patient. Well maintained grounds and showerhouse. FHUs with 50 amp on level asphalt pads are a real treat for a public park setting.
Very quiet with geese, osprey, owls and many more birds to enjoy.
The area is beautiful - we're here in the Spring - with more to see and do than 4 days allowed. Don't miss Lithia Park and the wonderful downtown area. Try the Breadboard or Brickroom for breakfast!

We stayed here Labor Day Weekend, and it was quiet, pretty, and accommodating. Our site was fairly level, but there is not a lot of privacy or shade. I would recommend bringing a pop-up shade structure until the campsite trees double in size. The reservoir level was fairly low, but people were still boating, skiing, and fishing. I can imagine this place being very nice earlier in the season with more water. Swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding all seem promising here.

The campground is located close to Ashland and overlooking Emigrant lake. The sites have nice spacing between them and all seem to have views of the lake. The facilities are very clean and great working condition. Will definitely stay there again.

Great area, looks hot in the summer, but nice in the fall. Full hook ups, great Verizon service and some trails near by. Can be windy so tie your stuff down.

I loved how the sites were laid out. There was plenty of space between sites and almost all had great views of the lake and mountains in the background. The bathrooms were spotless here as well. No need to pay day use fee if you're camping here.

This has to be the nicest county park I have ever stayed at. All the roads and sites are paved and there is plenty of room even for larger rigs. The view is incredible! The lake and mountains around are just breathtaking.
Our site 4/5 stars:
The only reason I haven't given the site 5 stars is because of all the sticker burrs/thorny ground cover that is everywhere in the park. Otherwise, the site is great. Well kept pavement that was level, a very nice picnic table, and well kept hookups. The site was angled so it was very easy to back in. The view was just awesome. We were there in fall and got to catch the last of the changing leaves.
Dog friendliness 3/5 stars:
No fenced dog area (not a surprise at a county park) but the worst was the massive amounts of sticker burrs/thorns everywhere. There was very little grass or even dirt area that did not have these thorns. Thankfully there's a nice trail that starts in the RV park that was less thorny. Also, you can walk down the main road to the lower park/play areas and some of those had nice grass.
Bathhouse and showers 5/5 stars:
Very clean and well kept! There are three shower rooms that are nice and private. Showers were hot with good pressure. I used them daily. The main restroom was very clean.
Overall campground 4/5 stars:
This place was awesome! It's on the pricey side for a county park, but it's obvious why. With the exception of the thorns it's nearly perfect. There are two camp hosts - one on each end of the park. I saw them often riding around on their golf cart checking on everything. Great experience and we'll definitely go back if we're in Ashland again.

Amazing views, easy access off the I-5, cheap full hookups, and close to town for groceries/gas. The lake was super low when we were there.
One downside is that there surprisingly isn't a lot of hiking trails in this area, which is a bit of a let-down for such an amazing location. The nearest (nice) hiking trail is an hour drive away.
Insanely fast Verizon speeds - 55/26Mbps!
