“oversized dinosaur ruins”
In the 1970's, an Apple Valley resident planned to construct a dinosaur-themed miniature golf course but unfortunately only got as far as building a few concrete dinosaurs. Nevertheless, the Dinosaurs added a welcome touch of whimsy to the Apple Valley landscape--and indeed still do.
Really out of the way of any major highways. The dinosaurs were very small & the houses surrounding it don't have fences. My friend and I were ambushed by dogs.
Don't go out of your way for this one. Worth stopping if you're already near, but not super exciting.
If you're in Victorville definitely worth the hilarious visit. So random and bizarre but fun for pictures!
SKIP IT. The Dinosaurs are broken and hidden from view
Only one dinosaur is still standing. Houses have fences now so no dogs.
They are ALL broken!!!!
Stopped by -- luckily didn't get ambushed by dogs although some barked at me for a nearby house. Was a nice random 10min stopping point with no one else around at all. Strange and serene, walked around, took some pictures. These types of oddities will be gone soon (it's already been around for 30+ years!) and it's nice to appreciate them before they're cleared out to make way for something less unique.
