Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 31, 2023We are traveling from Lincoln Ne to Spearfish, SD and wanted to get a head start. I called the day before and was told there was a donation box and they ask for $15/night. Full Hookup if you need it. We pulled in at about 9:15p and there were 2 other campers who appeared to be set up for a more long term stay. Easy access right off the Hwy. It was quiet other than an occasional train horn but didn’t keep me up. It worked perfectly for what we needed. There was a picnic table and fire ring. Fishing too.

This is a classic little town RV campground with full hookups for $15 per night or $80 per week. The sites are covered with full sized trees and back up to a winding lake. Sites toward the north (Site 8) are rather flat and become slightly uphill as one moves toward Site 1. Lots of room for the kids to run around the park: Playground, ball field, football field, volleyball pit, lots of green grass, etc. Pets allowed. BBQ grills, fire rings, picnic tables, fishing in the lake.
The only downside is the noise. Semi trucks make constant noise with their engine brakes as they enter town, and then more noise as they accelerate out of town. The railroad parallels the road and there are nearby crossings, so lots of train horns. A couple trains also did some switching, so there were periods of train cars smacking into one another. Nearby, there is some kind of industrial or agricultural plant that runs 24 hours per day, so there's a constant drone of machinery. All in all, a rather noisy campground. Bring earplugs if that type of noise tends to disturb you.
There is a strong "Ansley Park" WiFi SSID, but this appears to be for the football stadium and is not available to campground patrons.

They have made some improvements, I think since last post:
New pedestal charcoal grills, new fire pits with grill
Sewer hook up, along with electric and water, picnic tables (every other site 🤨)
Strong Verizon
No restrooms
Must be self contained
The camping area is reached by going to the left as you enter the park and continue to behind the ball field. Not a bad stop over. You will hear the trains and highway noise but it’s not too bad.
They do want $25 per night!!
