“we are long on hospitality”
In 1849, Fort Worth was established on the bluff overlooking the West and Clear Forks of the Trinity River. The pony soldiers were to drive the Indians further west, away from the buffalo hunting grounds. Settlers began to arrive, and by the 1860s the little town of Fort Worth had earned the name "Cowtown." A major stop on the Chisholm Trail and the chosen place for cowhands to unwind, Fort Worth is home to nearly half a million friendly folks. Cowtown RV Park is our pride and joy, and a true example of Texas-style hospitality. We are waiting to welcome you to Cowtown. Here at Cowtown RV Park we are long on hospitality and up to our boots in heritage. Our name says it all!

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 25, 2023We were in Ft. Worth at the same time as the stock show, otherwise we would have tried to stay downtown at the Will Rogers center...this private park was on our way and we figured it was best to grab a spot where we could find one (about 15 miles west of FW.) Check in was good - very nice person at desk and to guide us to our spot. They let me test the wifi from our about to be assigned spot (and it did work well, which was perhaps the only other plus of this place).
The park was pretty crowded; lots of extra cars parked on the road, including one blocking the exit from our spot. Some of the lanes were super bumpy and unleveled. The grassy spots alongside the spots in many cases had big tire ruts in them from people clearly trying to move in or out while avoiding the ruts, or the parked cars. We asked for the cigarette buts littering our site to be removed; they were not. The bathrooms were fine, but not cleaned as often as they should have been. Garbage cans at each site which was nice, but seemed a bit overkill. Nothing really to walk to...there was a good restaurant just on the other side of the highway however.

Park has easy access and is located along side of I-20 in Aledo. We were unable to hear any road traffic. It was easy access and fast check-in. The lady at the office was very nice and accommodating. We called the day before arrival for reservations. We had a pull thru site with full hookups! Everything was a real snap! Things were clean and well cared for. Our site had 50/30/20 amp hookups along with water and sewer. Sites were nicely sized (90' long) for our 40' class A and our jeep toad. There was ample room for sitting outside. It was priced very well for all we got. We would definitely stay here again.

The lady that checked us in via phone was nice. There was an envelope with the rules on a clip ready for us. We did have an escort to our site. The bathrooms and laundry room was clean and wash price is $1.50, I didn’t notice the dryer price (we washed clothes at my sisters). No pet fences are allowed or patio rugs.
There were mixed reviews about this place. But we didn’t experience any rudeness by the staff at all. We were asked for our SS# which I thought was odd. This was not told to me, when I called to make the reservation nor is it posted on their website, or is it printed in their handout. I think if you stay longer than two weeks they do require it. I will say they are sticklers about the speed limit and will send out warnings via email. So beware!

Clean park with lots of spots. We stayed one night. It was quiet overall. Friendly staff, although they didn’t communicate clearly what time check-in vs late check-in was. They had us call several times instead of just telling us outright what the late check-in time was, so that was a bit inconvenient.

We had just purchased our camper van and wanted to stay close to the dealer the first night. This place is not fancy, but has level spots and full hookups, so it worked for us. We normally like wooded campgrounds with privacy, but this one is great if you’re just passing thru and need to stop for a night. I would recommend staying in the back away from the interstate. We were in #72 and didn’t hear any traffic.
