“Pause for a break during the Virginia Creeper Trail”
What was once a railroad stop located halfway between Abingdon & Damascus, Alvarado Station is now a great location for food, drinks, and rest along the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is the only stop for snacks and restrooms on the 16-mile stretch between Abingdon and Damascus. We have plenty of parking available and ample place to sit back and relax. It is an idea location to start and finish your trip. Most say the ride between Abingdon and Alvarado is the most scenic on the trail, with a variety of landscapes, including the beautiful trestles, tree-lined trails, and pastures. We can also help you with ideas to ride the trail, arrange for bike rentals, or even shuttles from or to Alvarado and Whitetop. Come by and see us, because we know you will be glad you did!
