Mayfield Bay Coastal Reserve is a conservation area south of Swansea on Tasmania's east coast and a great spot to break your journey along the coast, unpack a picnic and get out your camera.
Spiky Bridge was built by convicts in the mid 19th century on the east coast of Tasmania located 7.5 kilometres from the town of Swansea.
Kate’s hugely popular Just Desserts Café, with its mouth watering menu, overlooks rows of berries to breathtaking views across Great Oyster Bay to the world renowned Freycinet National Park.
Belmont Homestead is a 14.5 acre property on the Tasman Highway (alternatively known as The Great Eastern Drive) 6.5 kilometres north of the seaside town of Swansea and on the banks of the Wye River.
As well as the 1892 homestead, Belmont contains several forms of accommodation suiting families (The Belmont Wing), the romantic couple seeking that isolated getaway (Bentmore Cottage) or those looking for the unique (Gypsy Rose gypsy van).
Milton Vineyard was first farmed in 1826 initially for fine Tasmanian wool but is now producing fine cool climate wines. We are located at 42 degrees south on the dry sunny Freycinet Coast of Tasmania. We have had a great success with our unique micro-climate that suits the ancient grape Pinot Noir and lately Syrah has proven very successful.
The Devil's Corner Cellar Door and Lookout is located by the edge of Moulting Lagoon on Tasmania's beautiful East Coast and provides spectacular views across the Lagoon to the Hazards at Coles Bay. The recently opened cellar door provides tastings of the award winning Devil's Corner wines, many exclusive to the cellar door (great sauvignon Blanc) . The Fishers Seafood is located next to the cellar door and serves the freshest seafood, including oysters and mussels from the Lagoon and local fish straight off the boats. Tombolo Cafe sist on the other side of the cellar door, and utilises local ingredients to produce a range of wood fired pizza's along with freshly made gelato and espresso coffee. Located on the main highway between Bicheno and Swansea. It is the perfect location to enjoy a glass of Devil's Corner wine along with a plate of fresh oysters, pizza and the best view on the Coast.
The seaside holiday village of Coles Bay sits beneath stunning, sheer pink granite mountains overlooking the calm, crystal clear water of Oyster Bay. The uncrowded beaches and crystal clear waters offer the ideal location for swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing.
Wineglass Bay Cruises is a 4½ hour cruise of the waterways surrounding Freycinet National Park from Coles Bay to Wineglass Bay on Tasmania's East Coast.
Take in the sheer beauty of Wineglass Bay from the rarely seen perspective of the water, a shimmering crescent of white sand fringes spilling into glass turquoise waters.
The Cape Tourville Lighthouse was erected in 1971. It replaced the inaccessible Cape Forestier Lighthouse on Lemon Rock which was decommissioned the same year. Both Capes are in the scenic Freycinet National Park. The lighthouse was constructed as an automatic light and was never manned. There is a 20 minute circuit, 600m circuit Grade 1: No bushwalking experience required. Flat even surface with no steps or steep sections. Suitable for wheelchair users who have someone to assist them.
Taste some of Tasmania's best fresh seafood – enjoyed fresh on our deck or taken away. Oysters and mussels harvested fresh from our farm daily, scallops, abalone and rocklobster, salmon sourced from local fisherman.
The water, battering the inside of the cave with increasing force, found a weak spot in the ceiling to blow a hole through the granite. Now water rushes into the cave, hits the walls, swells with increasing pressure and it all erupts out of the hole in the ceiling.
