Belmont Homestead is a 14.5 acre property on the Tasman Highway (alternatively known as The Great Eastern Drive) 6.5 kilometres north of the seaside town of Swansea and on the banks of the Wye River. As well as the 1892 homestead, Belmont contains several forms of accommodation suiting families (The Belmont Wing), the romantic couple seeking that isolated getaway (Bentmore Cottage) or those looking for the unique (Gypsy Rose gypsy van). Whatever suits .. Belmont Homestead is the ideal base to explore the magnificent east coast of Tasmania. Take in the ever expanding number of vineyards, explore some of Tasmania's remarkable National Parks (Freycinet, Maria Island and Douglas Apsley) or visit hotspots such as the Bay of Fires. Activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking and cycling are all plentiful and attractions such as Natureworld and the world- renowned Barnbougle golf course are within reach. Belmont Homestead is the perfect getaway in a peaceful environment amidst a coastline of beauty.
We had such a lovely stay here. We were welcomed like family and cared for like family. Thank you for making our stay a lovely memory. Loved the fruit you gave us fresh from the trees and vines, the walk around the gardens and by the stream. The complementary port in our cute cottage with a fire was very homely. Thank you.
