Fall in Vermont is magnificent and this walk showed it off at its best. The walk is paved all the way round so cyclists, walkers and wheelchairs are no problem. There are some lovely spots and bridges to take photos and we even spotted a deer!

Located just a quick five minute drive from Stowe Village, and a brief quarter mile hike from the trail head, Moss Glen Falls is an ideal place for taking pictures! It's so beautiful, and well worth the trip. We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Stowe.
Situated in the White Mountain National Forest, along 8 miles of I-93. Wooden stairs, boardwalks and overlooks have been put in to make the trek through the gorge even easier and more pleasant. There's even a covered bridge in the gorge-- it's a great place to steal a kiss from your sweetie! Hikers today can either do the entire two-mile loop or just visit the 800-foot gorge-- the whole loop is pretty stunning, but there are other things to see at the park as well! After you're done getting a view from inside the gorge, head up to the top of a mountain for your next stop. ***The Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway will take you on a scenic, 8-minute ride up 4,200 feet to the summit of the mountain where you can drink in the views from the observation deck
Explore nature's blissful beauty as your journey takes you on a self-guided adventure along a 1-mile wooden boardwalk trail among jagged rock walls, glacial boulder caves, and cascading waterfalls. Observe the "gorge-ousness" of Lost River and Kinsman Notch from the viewing platform of the Giant Bird's Nest and the upper gorge Suspension Bridge.

In 1850, Jacob Berry and Peter Paddleford built a covered bridge to replace a crudely framed log bridge that had collapsed at this site. The 1850 bridge stood until the Swift River covered bridge crashed into it in 1869. The Saco River covered bridge was rebuilt by Allen and Warren of Conway but it was destroyed again by a tannery fire in 1890.
Scenic trip. Beautiful old train station. Lots of trains and model trains to see. If you like trains, this place is for you. Take the domed train ride for sure.
The cascading falls measure Aprox. 75 feet in total height. The hike to Diana’s Baths is a fairly easy 6/10ths of a mile on a relatively flat, wide gravel path. Being part of the US National Forrest System, there is a large parking lot at the entrance to the hiking path and a self service pay station which requires visitors to purchase and display a daily pass on the dashboard your vehicle. This daily pass (currently $3.00 per day) may be used at other national Forrest sites as well.
