Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States
Day 1-27th Ok, so read through my notes. Print this out. You can click on blue links to see more about the places. I also included some links for more info or tickets. Work quickly to book hotels and tickets. Summer is nuts. You can make changes and eliminate things. I gave ideas in each location and on the way. But the adventure of it all. Live dangerously. Keep stops a secret so its more exciting.
Day 1- Our friends live in Pittsburg suburb and took us here when the kids were young. Nice stretch your legs and have a picnic lunch. https://www.inspirock.com/united-states/pittsburgh/pittsburgh-water-steps-a9132037309
Day 1- 4 hrs and 38 minutes from Rochester Hills not including stops. Great city. Clean and nice. Pitstop halfway to Philly. Another 4.5 hrs to Philly.
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States
Day 4- 30th- We drove through here to show the kids the Amish community. They drive their horse and buggies around. We stopped and ate an Amish restaurant but I don't remember the name. This one is highly rated and has a farm. https://www.goodnplenty.com/our-history/
Wilmington, Delaware, United States
4 hrs 45 minutes from Pittsburg. Dinner in Wilmington. I put DE on here as a pass through state. What are the chances you will be near here any time soon. One of two things you could do. Stay the night in Wilmington or drive another 45 to Pittsburg. https://www.visitwilmingtonde.com/
Day1 or 2 - 27th-30th- We stayed at the Courtyard downtown. It was more expensive but it is around the corner from Reading Market (Reading pronounced in past tense), walking distance to the Rocky steps and not too far from the Liberty Bell.
Day 3- 29th- Phillys game
Day 2 or 3- Someone told us to go here. It is an indoor market with food areas and shops. Neat place. We went to a crepe shop for breakfast. They made them in front of you.
Day 4- June 30th-One hour drive from Philly. I assume you'll spend the night somewhere.
Day 5- July 1- Two hours into NY. We rode the subway with the kids. Elizabeth didn't like it.
People say go as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Between 8-11 or 2 to 3 hour before sunset crowds. I would say as early as possible. Everyone says its amazing. We didn't have the chance with the kids. I think Paul and I went years ago. https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g60763-d11854335-EmpireStateBuildingGeneralSkiptheLineTickets-NewYorkCityNew_York.html
Everything is around Rockefeller Center. Take them to FAO Schwartz. Great toy store. Big Legos, the piano from Big and multiple stories. Radio City Music Hall. you can walk Times Square, RC and Empire State.
We walked around central park and Ben played a pick up game of soccer with some locals. Find the FAO toy store near Rockefeller Center. My kids were in heaven.
This is just a playground in Central Park.
I wanted you to go to Ninja New York but they closed. boo. It was so cool. See what it was. http://ninjany.com/ninjavillage.html My kids loved it. Anyway, I've heard this is a fun place for kids. https://www.ellensstardustdiner.com/
I tried to see if Potted Potter was playing in Off Broadway but it discontinued indefinitely. It is a spoof on Harry Potter. The boys would love it. But, you know its wild lights there.
