Pretty average hotel. The room and bed was clean enough, and the staff was okay. The check in people and some of the cleaning staff were meh, but the check out lady was nice. The room was spacious with nice sized beds and modern furniture. The hotel had a maize like feel as we weaver our way through seemingly endless corridors to find our room. Solid 3 star stay, mostly because of the price.
A pretty nice state capital, it has the feel of a castle atop the hill. There are statues of both George Washington and Phillip Sheridan on the grounds. Seeing the general warmed my spirits on a chilly morning. To the south of the state house there is a plaza with a few art instillations and very interesting looking buildings. I am assuming they are part of an art museum but I will need to do some further research. I walked my typical lap taking pictures of the what I called a gothic byzantine looking structure. I walked back down the hill to cider belly doughnuts. I got a caramel macchiato and had a dozen of the original cinn and cinnamon sugar doughnuts to take back to wade at the hotel.

Made it back to Coshocton around 7:45pm. I left for home after packing my car, loading my pizza and saying goodbye to Wade.

I ate Two pieces of pizza on the way and stopped at the wendys on cherry valley. I made it home just after 9 pm.
Wade's favorite part was definitely FDR's house. He said the best meal he had was at Waterwheel cafe. I definitely enjoyed the cafe and FDR's house as well. The entire trip was enjoyable for me though, as I love to get away and go explore. Wade said he would like to spend some more time in the Hyde Park area...I think I smell another road trip cooking!
