This is our fun vacation for the year. We haven't really had a vacation since we got married 10 years ago (maybe a few fun camping trips, but that is it). Aye aye aye... The destination itself will be a blast, but this will be a nice way to stretch our legs in between the boring drive through the Great Plains.

Ok, I will admit that I am ridiculously geeked out over this stop. There have been official, confirmed reports of Ivory-Billed Woodpeckers seen here in 2005, and the government has been ramping up their resources to help bring them back from what WAS THOUGHT to be extinction. It's like Sasquatch himself has been found. This is the 2nd largest bird in the US (mind-blowing). I would love to even see anything they have on it, even if I can't catch a glimpse of it myself.
This is because I want a Passport Stamp. I won't lie.
Cool story here... this is a weirded out little wannabe restaurant/arcade/anything that can't get a good start. In the meantime: cute photo op and a decent leg stretch.
