Best of the North West!
Whale watching in the San Juan/Orcas Islands is absolutely amazing. Not only are the islands themselves beautiful and fun to explore, but taking one or more tour boats out to see and photograph the Orcas is something you never forget.
One of my very favorite places in the United States, the Columbia River Gorge is a playground for nature lovers. There are over 20 breathtaking waterfalls in the area, all of which are well worth a visit. Aside from the famous Multnomah Falls, some of my personal favorites are Bridal Veil, Oneonta Gorge, Latourell, and Elowah. Truly stunning
What can I say about Hellgate Getboat Excursions other than it is so much fun! Brunch, lunch, or dinner and an adventure; what could be better? Some of my fondest memories are taking these trips with friends and family during the summer.
One more stop on the nature tour that you just cannot miss out on. The first time I ever visited the avenue of the giants as a child, I was awe struck. In all honestly I still get the same feeling as an adult.
No better place to end this trip down through the Pacific Coast states than to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If any of the stress and pressure from work and city life was still clinging to you after all the previous marvels, it all melts away as you walk through the aquarium. It relaxes and refreshes you.
