My Epic Road Trip

Take This Trip

Created by ChrisWallbrech - July 11th 2016

A truly epic wayfaring of the Western United States. Every videographer's dream is to get in the car with camera gear and hit all the most scenic and adventurous land in the country. With stops in weather as high as 110 degrees down to 35 all in the course of a couple weeks, snowboarding, lake swimming, salt flat racing, and watching bison roam the wild are all on the itinerary.

Badlands National Park

I've never been to the bad lands, but from the stories people have told me, it's second to none in it's vast cavernous spires. This marks the beginning.

Yellowstone National Park

Top of my bucket list. Nothing says US road trip like Yellowstone. Having never seen Old Faithful I can't in good conscious skip over this amazing landmark.

Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway

As a vintage moto-enthusiast, I would be foolish to not stop at the Salt Flats and subsequently go as fast as humanly possible.

Maroon Bells

Maroon Bells is where my wife and I got engaged. It's also one of the most photographed mountain ranges in the world. This time I'm going to stay the night in the wilderness.

Easily one of my favorite towns I've visited. It's hard not to enjoy yourself when you're surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. The eateries and shops maintain authenticity and the people are the nicest you'll ever meet.

The Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon is an obvious stop. It's hard to look over the rim and imagine a river causing such a massive landscape.

Zion National Park

Such a nice town with friendly people. Also massive cliffs and underground waterways. Angels Landing is back on the list of experiences to have again.

Summertime snowboarding on Mt. Hood. Enough said.

Voodoo Doughnut

Okay. I know you think your local gourmet donut place is the knees of the bees, but it's not. Voodoo is hand down the best donut in the universe. I'm talking astronomically better than whatever you can get anywhere else.

Hwy 101 Burger

Hwy 101 is the American roadway. You cannot experience a better stretch of road than cruising down the West Coast highway. Redwoods, ocean, beaches, cliffs, what else do you need? Burgers, that's what.

Olympic is another bucket list destination that dreams are made of. I'm talking beaches, massive trees and mountains. Backpacking at it's finest.

Never seen a volcano, heard they're exciting, must go.

See See Motor Coffee Co

A monument in the vintage motorcycle world. Coffee and old bikes were made for each other. The closest thing to British cafe racer authenticity in the US.

Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake is another on the top of my list of things to experience. When you have friends who live in the PNW, you get nothing but jealous rage for the amount of awesome that can be had in one place. Serene views and solid hiking.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is single handedly the greatest national park. You got redwoods, you got waterfalls, you got mountains, you got history. John Muir didn't spend a night in the top of a tree during a thunderstorm because it was a good idea, he did it because when you're in a place like this you have no choice but to be one with nature.

Big Sur, California, United States

Words can't describe what it's like to experience the west. You'll never feel so small and simultaneously so alive. My goal is to capture and share adventure with everyone I know. Enable unlikely travelers and florida time share owners. There's a reason why Americans travel outside of the country so little, because we have everything we need right here.
