All I ever wanted growing up was to travel, yet I have only been to fourteen states so far. Road trips are synonymous with freedom and fun. The ultimate continental road trip would have to take me to the farthest corners to see all the wonders I grew up watching on tv that seemed so out of reach.
The Great Northern. I actually never watched Twin Peaks until recently. At the time, from the name alone, I thought it was a mountainous version of Baywatch.
All the years growing up and hearing about monuments that were so far away made them seem like fairy tales. I love to see these sites and learn more about history.
One guide described the Sculpture Garden as the crown jewel of Minneapolis. How can I pass that up while I'm passing through.
Even without having cable tv, I still knew about Nickelodeon as a kid. Getting to relive some of those childhood memories is a must for a road trip.
Such a gorgeous place.
I'm terrified of heights. This is as good a place as any to face my fears and have a story to tell.
A perfect place to hang out and soak up some of the local culture.
The. City. Museum. This has been my top road trip destination since I first heard about it.
The weirder the place, the more I want to visit. This is something you don't get to see everyday.
A road trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to Graceland.
So many musicians have played on this stage. There are even videos of a very young Willie Nelson playing here in the days of black and white tv.
Ziplining. In a cave. What more needs to be said. It looks amazingly fun.
I love a good adventure. And I ain't afraid of no ghost. Trekking into the wilderness to see an abandoned ghost ship is the sort of offbeat adventure I love.
Music has always been a part of my life.
How many people do you know that can say they've raced down an olympic bobsled run? Yeah me neither. All the more reason to be that one person everyone knows with the stories of the experience.
Harvard is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country. The architecture alone would be worth the visit.
Many of the greatest minds attend MIT. I could not pass up a chance to take a tour and roam the halls with those great minds, if only for a moment.
Where everybody knows your name, at least after sharing a few rounds.
I never got the chance to take time at the end of high school to travel. A road trip like this would be perfect during summer break from college. Eventually I'll fulfill my dream to travel. Still hoping to change someday to soon.
