I was a passenger on this ship when I was 10years old in1964 with my family sailing from Southhampton to New York I can remember when I boarded and till we arrived in New York , we was on D deck my father my brother and I shared a cabin and my mother and sister shared another and we sailed for nearly 5 days. The Queen Mary was and still is a magnificent ship I was proud to be on I still have the passenger list and menus and a avid collector of the ships memorabilia.I can surely recommend the stay there and enjoy the excellence and the atmosphere surrounded by history as I did when I was on the ocean waves I will one day come over from the U.K and love to stay on RMS The Queen Mary in the near future.

If you like travelling through time and love the feeling of living in another era, then I would strongly recommend the Queen Mary Hotel to you.
Such a different experience to spend a night or more on board. The whole environment is very well maintained and clean and the rooms are very nice. The only thing that disappointed us was the size of the bed we were suppose to sleep. We as a couple had a double bed which roughly fit us.Despite all this, the whole experience was great and the food at the restaurant delicious.
Staff is great and very polite, helpful and willing to chat with you and get to know you whenever possible.
The Queen Mary is considered to be one of the most haunted hotels in the U.S. due to the fact that it allegedly has a plethora of psychic “hot spots.” Here’s the rundown: The pool is reportedly haunted by the spirits of two women who drowned there in both the 1930s and 1960s; a woman in white haunts the Queen’s Salon; and a man in a 1930s suit has been seen roaming around the First Class Suites.
The Queen Mary is an interesting and relaxing place to visit. Tour the ship and imagine what it was like to be on the Queen Mary sailing across the ocean. There are a lot of stories of famous passengers, not so famous passengers, the military days, and hauntings to fascinate everyone. As a hotel destination it is somewhat lacking. If you want to be able to say you stayed abroad the Queen Mary, then give it a night, but the accommodations are, of course, old and sometimes cramped. The tours are okay. Nothing more than that. Overall, an interesting destination that should not be missed. There is a lot to see and one could easily spend the day there.
