We stayed in December during the light display in the park. Entrance to campground is near the park entrance so it wasn’t too bad. Hookups are on the right side and close to the pad. Sewer was a little longer than my single hose but not ridiculously far away. Pad was somewhat level, easy to set up with a couple leveling blocks. Park seems clean and safe. Off season and military discount got us a great deal. Folks on the phone were super nice to work with. Will stay again. We stayed in a 30’ toy hauler.

We stayed at site #48 which is close to Highway 100 so we heard traffic. They have 2 restrooms with flush toilets and showers in the RV campground area. There is also a small campground area for people who have horses. We drove to that area and used the showers as they were newer. They have a stable to rent horses, a beautiful lake with trails, a small aviary that has some birds of prey, 2 stores and 1 restaurant (opened seasonally). We had 1 bar of AT&T cell reception at best but mainly no reception. A friend stayed with us that had T-Mobile and had 3 bars. The concrete pad was fairly level.

We had a great spot here for 1 night, supposed to be 2 but stuff happens. Will come back again, beautiful area of TN and the state does a great job of maintaining the location. Large areas to spread out and not hear your neighbors snore. Could not go wrong staying here. Minimal cell service so be prepared for being out of touch.

Nice campground . Very peaceful setting here. They have a small lake that you can go kayaking. They have a stable on one side of the lake. You can rent a horse to go trail riding . Some of the side are full hook up and some just have water and eltrical. They have a dump station near by. It also has a couple play grounds for the kids. They have a section of the lake roped off for swimming. We stay here with a 30 ft travel trailer . A few sites set behind Hwy 100 so if you are on that side of the campground you will have some road noise

Very nice campgrounds, feels a little tight driving in with my 34 foot 5th wheel, but not terrible. Site has plenty of room with everything except sewer. Dump station down the road. Kinda a little walk to the lake. I’d stay again.

Paved sites are mostly level and spaced apart with no privacy screening. Cell reception comes and goes. WIFI available for free for 3 days with limited usage at CSP Guest. Hosts have been here a long time and are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are unusually clean.

We had a pull-in site with water and electric. It was next to the entrance road and it was still quiet. AT&T service was very spotty and we spent most of our trip without any service. Our pad was concrete and mostly level. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. There are multiple trails and we did them all in 2 days. It was more than relaxing and we hated to leave.

We stayed at Chickasaw State Park - this was our second time at this park. About half of the sites are full hookups, the rest of the sites have water, elec. but no sewer.
The arrival at the campground is straightforward. No need to check-in anywhere. Your site marker has your reservation clipped to it. Presumably, if your name isn't on the site marker, you wouldn't park there.
The camp hosts are friendly and can answer any questions you might have. The hosts at this particular park rotate every few months. The road around the campground is paved and in good condition, as are the sites. All are paved and fairly level.
It is a fairly quiet campground but you do hear road noise on highway 100 if the vehicles are very loud. There isn't a whole lot of traffic on Hwy 100, so the noise isn't bad.
The lake is about a mile from the RV campground. It is small, but there are a few points of access. There are paddle boat and paddle board rentals, and horseback riding is available.
There is little TV reception and cell reception is poor, especially for AT&T service. Verizon service seems to be better.
We would go back to this campground. It is clean and sites are reasonably spaced.

Stayed for two nights in late September. Our paved pull through site was easily leveled. Water/electric at site worked fine, clean restrooms, didn’t use their shower. Site 50 bordered an entrance road, nearby Hwy 100 road noise was noticeable. Nearly empty during our midweek stay, all sites reserved for the weekend - locals know this place. Regular ranger patrols, lots of horse/boat opportunities, cool bridge across the lake. Nearby Pinson Mounds Archaeological Park worth a visit. Senior discount got us down to $27 per night. Recommend this park!
