Excellent place
I stayed for two nights only. Clean and modern bathrooms, plenty of amenities, riverwalk is a short bus ride from the place. Highly recommended if staying at San Antonio
We stayed here for 2 nights, just passing through on our way to Arizona, it's quiet, clean and a short drive (about 4 miles we ubered) to The Alamo and the Riverwalk. Many things for kids and dogs to do. Pool, dog park, playground, a little putt putt golf course. Gravel Parking, large concrete patio area. I would definitely stay here again but make sure you have everything you need before you arrive. The neighborhood is not that great and there aren't any stores you'd wish to visit.

Great location to the city. Able to arrive, setup, sight see the couple things we wanted and leave the next day. Assuming our spot next to the pool was because we used a Good Sam discount. Was fine for thanksgiving week and only one night. Make sure you pay attention or ask about route in. We had to go a different route from gps to avoid train tracks.

Overall very nice park and very clean. Super convenient to downtown and access to river walk bike path from campground. Beware this park is in a very crime ridden part of town with NO security. NO gate, NO cameras, NO concern. On our 4th night we had $4000 worth of bicycles stolen the thief’s cut a lock and were gone. We were camped between 2 Class A homes. The management doesn’t care and are fully aware of the problem. You need to be aware of the crime in the neighborhood if you stay here. We will not be staying at SUN properties in the future.

We stay here when in San Antonio because it is close to downtown and near a good bus stop. That way if we want, we can leave the big dually at the park and use the city buses. This is a clean, well organized, full service park operated by Sun Resorts. It offers a Good Sam discount and is large, with lots of level FHU sites, cable, WiFi, dog park, pool, hot tub, exercise room, camp store, and more. The roads are asphalt and sites are gravel with long concrete pads and picnic tables. The interior sites are pull through and there are back in sites around the perimeters. Right next door is a great walking path along the San Antonio River. There are some shorter back in sites, but most are plenty long for big rigs. The sites have grass between them and are ample in size. Many sites have shade trees. There are some rental cottages; there are also some well kept park models used by full timers. Both Verizon and ATT cell signals work well. The park WiFi worked well until the park was full in the evening. We’ll keep using this park.

While our stay here was good, our neighbors were robbed of their mountain bikes, the first night they arrived. So the lack of security, is a big pitfall.
The site we had was nice stone, very flat, easy to set up, and full hook up sewer. Concrete pad next to trailer, and picnic table.
Close to the river walk, this being said, you are Not near downtown San Antonio, you will be 4 miles out. The neighborhood just outside is sketchy, as other reviews have described.
They do have a great pool and laundry facility.

We usually head to federal and state campgrounds, so this was the first time we camped almost downtown. The campground is a nice haven that is very convenient to all the sites of the area. Our site was a little tight, but not bad. Everything worked great, including the wifi. Be sure to use the directions provided by the resort, and NOT your GPS. We were thankful we followed that advice. While using GPS around town, I was really glad not to be pulling our trailer! We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great location, took the bus downtown one day and rode my bike to the missions the second day. Grounds are well kept and amenities are wonderful. Nice hot tub and pool to enjoy. Would stay again.

It's been a couple years since our last stay here and a significant investment has obviously been made, in particular at the office. The whole office, lobby, coffee bar, store, lounge, gym, etc., have all been tastefully remodeled. Sites appear to all have refreshed gravel pads. Power at some sites is on the wrong side of the RV, but we were able to reach without an extension. Military veteran discount was appreciated, as was the seamless online reservation and payment process. Location is probably the closest park to Riverwalk/Alamo, and its just a mile from the Mission San Jose, which should not be missed. You'll get a much better idea of what the "Alamo" used to look like.
Pay attention to the directions given via email once you complete the reservation process, as there is an elevated RR track your GPS could tell you to cross; you might make it, you might not. You can see many vehicles have gouged the asphalt on the steep incline to the tracks. There is also what sounds like a Karaoke bar near the entrance that we could hear from the jacuzzi Saturday night; though it was more humorous than annoying. Still no onsite security that we could see, and warnings abound about specific locks that thieves cant cut to steal your bikes; we put our bikes in the RV at night. Staff and campers were friendly and welcoming.
