We tent camped at Camp Edison in October 2016. (Warm days but cool nights). Senior discount is available. Our campsite was spacious and secluded considering we were next to the bathrooms and showers which was just a short walk away. Our camp host was gracious and welcoming. Our only complaint was about campers who, luckily, stayed only one night across the road. They had about 20 adults/kids on two sites and they strung a huge street light type light between them that they refused to turn off at 10 pm even when told by host and rangers. We thought the rules of the campground should've been strongly enforced, in this situation. They also trashed the lavs which had to be cleaned a bit more often. Other than that, all the other campers followed the rules and were courteous of others. We had a great time. My sister and her family camped in site 5 next to us and it was very nice as well. I've also include a photo of their site. The small town of Shaver Lake has some good eating spots if you want a break from cooking.

This is a very large campground that is well maintained and run. There are about 7 different loops to choose from and a full marina. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the loops but if you want to be close to the water book far in advance. They have organized nature walks, science education, a museum and even a band on the weekend so there is no shortage of things to do. Lastly the lake is an easy walk and beautiful to swim in.
We stayed here toward the end of August and the campground was full on Saturday and Sunday but cleared out on Monday and Tuesday and most sites were empty.
They do charge a $6/night fee if you have a dog.

We love camping here. It is beautiful and close to Shaver Lake, just a short walk from your campsite. The bathrooms and campsites are kept very clean. The town of Shaver Lake it very quaint. This last time we camped in late March/ early April and there was still patches of snow on the ground. One of our favorite places to camp!!

Probably the best full hookup campgrounds we’ve been to. Bathroom and showers are clean and sites are spacious and well spaced apart. And the best part is it’s beautiful scenery. We will definitely come back.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. We loved the atmosphere with tons of trees and huge rocks throughout the campground. My kids loved climbing them. There was still snow on the ground when we arrived and my kids loved sledding down the hills toward the lake. We skied at China Peak a couple of times at the end of the 2021 season and it was perfect for my beginners. The campground staff and camp host were wonderful. We had several packages delivered to the campground during our stay since we are full-timers and the staff always brought them directly to our site. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a few weeks moving sites. This was our last one. It’s a great camp. Spots are close but park was mostly empty the first part of our stay. We preferred the paved area. We fished and swam in the lake.
I loved the online registration!!!!! They have pictures and descriptions that show the spots. They are also very responsive to email!
It’s a vacation/camping spot, but for our family of six, a perfect fit!
The only negative for us was it was very dusty, so we ended up covered in dirt and the RV stayed covered in dust. Not a big deal, but for longer stays was a bit of a pain. Our 38ft rig fit in several spots very well.

We ended up staying one night here on Veteran's Day weekend. The weather was gorgeous! During non-peak season most of the campground is closed so we were able to hike all over without seeing many people. The water in the lake is a little low but still really nice. The campground is very well maintained and clean. We were very impressed. On top of that we even had full 5g Verizon service. Sad part is that a lot of the area outside the park burned during the Creek Fire but they are recovering. Will definitely be back!

Actually $45/night now, and you have to pay for your showers on top of that which is absurd. Grounds are pretty and well kept though.
