“Lushly landscaped, family oriented”
Lushly landscaped, family oriented, and pet-friendly, the Escondido RV Resort provides the perfect destination for a San Diego getaway. We are an excellent choice for athletes attending local area sporting events such as golf, hockey, soccer, softball and baseball tournaments. The recently expanded resort offers the most luxurious and spacious RV sites in north San Diego County, with 48- to 72-foot long concrete pads that provide easy access and maximum flexibility for today’s largest slide-out equipped RVs. Sites include every modern amenity, including sewer, water, telephone, cable television and 20, 30 and 50 amp electrical service.

There were several things we liked about this resort. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The grounds were very well taken care of. There were a couple of events put on by the park that were very fun and appreciated. The entire park was a little tight but manageable. Really our only complaint was the price and value for the money. $2000/month seemed steep for what was there. Most frustrating was the surprise electric bill after we left. We knew we would be charged for electricity and guessed it would be not more than what we spent in our house in an average month. We never imagined it would be over $430 for the month. We did not use A/C and don't have a washer/dryer. Maybe it's a California thing, but that seemed crazy for 50 amp service to run a TV, microwave, computer and 12V lights for a month. Unfortunately, for this reason, we can't recommend this resort.

The restroom had showers that were filthy. There were personal items left for days (anti fungal shampoo, toe ring, used panty liner) for multiple days. It was apparent someone cleaned toilets but not showers. Also large clumps of hair on the floor mats indicating again it was not cleaned. I checked multiple days back to back and the filth remained.
Small dogs in the upper lot (terrace) were permitted off leash at all times and constantly in other peoples sites.
It was visually clear that the maintenance team is either under staffed or not concerned about the overall lot and cleanliness.
Mens restroom has a sink “under repair” for months now.
Also, power is only charged at premium wattage and when you ask for the pricing model there is no one who knows how its charged. In California after certain hours the pricing model goes down so if you do not fluctuate the pricing then you’re scalping your long term customers.
All in all i will not be recommending escondido RV Resort.
