We stopped here for one night on our way down to the Florida Keys. It was easy to get to right off Hwy 27. It's also the only place to park for free in the area which means lots of RVs and trucks filling the back part of the parking lot. We arrived at about 9 pm to find only one available spot left. Unfortunately it was next to a semi-truck that left the engine on all night. Our spot was level though and backed up to an open field. We didn't go into the casino and no one from security ever came by to check us in. Overall it was a convenient stop in an area with no other options for overnight parking and we would stop there again.

I was going from Tampa to Big Pine Key and didn't want to arrive after dark. The Miccosukee reservation/casino was perfect. I arrived mid afternoon and found a spot next to an Everglade marsh well away from the trucks. With a short walk to the casino, dinner was easy and enjoyable.

We parked here for a few nights since we needed a good overnight spot for day trips into Miami. It worked out great: with traffic it took about an hour to drive into the city but that is par for any big city. Lots of RVs and trucks coming in for one night stays. A couple nights idling trucks were parked nearby, other nights were perfectly quiet. We stayed twice: the first time we didn't register and security never talked to us. We even sourced some fresh water refills at the rear of the casino. Bathrooms are available in the casino though not showers. Garbage bins are located throughout the parking lot. Our second stay we signed up for a free casino card with $30 to gamble and we won $6! We also got a coupon for bogo buffet dinner which didn't hurt. The casino is close to the airboat tours of the everglades off the Tamiami Trail (Hwy 41) and the Miccosukee Indian Village. Also nearby is Shark Valley in Everglades with their 15 mile bicycle trail/Tram trail into gator territory. We noticed the casino is working on paving a large new extended parking lot out back. This would be helpful as sometimes the parking lot got pretty full as it really is the only free place to park overnight in the area.

We stayed here as it was right next to the Everglades. We managed to find a quiet spot in the parking lot and slept well. There are a lot of big rigs, so stay away from them. The casino had a promotion and have us $30 credit each on the machines, which was nice, along with coupons for a buffet. It's just a casino parking lot, but it had security. We got a permit from the security desk inside. It's really close to the Everglades and each day we went into the park and did different things, so that was really convenient.

Great spot to boondock for a bit. The casino is old and smokey but has food options, plenty of outlets to charge devices and very clean restrooms. The lot is big and well lit, we felt very safe. There is room to walk doggies too! We stayed 3 nights while we were traveling from the Keys to Ft. Myers to spend some days in the Everglades. Definitely recommend!

We felt very safe here, security patrolled the facilities frequently. Upon registering with the casino we were provided with player's cards that contained $30 in free play. We managed to win enough money to pay for dinner and then some!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Miccosukee and appreciate their hospitality!

I had passed this place several times going to the Everglades and Big Cypress Parks but never camped out because i kept thinking the parks would be open 24 hours and I could stop on a service road or RV spot out of the way until the visitors centers opened. Not the case- these Florida parks are 9-5 only I like the rest of the NP system, so staging nearby with amenities is a must. There are several restaurants to choose from and if you like slot machines, they’re right inside the door. If you are looking to visit the National Parks or preserves nearby, don’t drive past this place- turn in and save yourself the gas money and rest time you’ll loose looking for something else available.

One note on parking- their employee lot is behind the casino and you’ll hear cars ripping through the truck and RV areas at all times of day when shifts are over. Just make sure you don’t have anything sticking out however you choose to park. I don’t think the drivers realize that people are still in and around their vehicles when parked here.

Noise wise, this is not a primitive campsite. While the casino doesn’t really make noise, there is a shooting range nearby that goes hot first thing in the morning. Trucks will roll out for work at that time as well. Lighting is another thing- lots for security but if your rig doesn’t have shades, you might have trouble blocking it out.

Free place to camp on your way to somewhere else. No complaints. Ran the generator all night. We did not use slides.

Stop here on the recommendation of friends. Very easy access to the back parking lot. Lots of RV's and trucks using the lot. Easy check in with the security desk.

Cars speeding through the lot for most of the night. Night shift employees and casino guests used their panic alarms all night long to locate their cars and so made sleeping almost impossible.
