The DN is run by a young couple bringing an older campground back to it's glory. The campground is right off the I80 so it is a great place for one nighters and just far enough from Omaha to make it a great weekend campground for families. When we arrived we were virtually the only people in the park and for most of the week we would get several RV's in for the night but they would all clear out by noon. Then on Thursday night RVs started to arrive in mass and by Saturday noon the place was hopping!
It can be a bit noisy as it is right on the highway but the amenities are quite nice, big pool, putt putt golf, and a nice playground for kids. It is a bit rough around the edges but the owners are working hard to make this a very nice place to camp.

We were traveling west on I 80 when we noticed there we’re a bunch of nasty storms brewing on the radar. Double Nickel Campground has an underground storm shelter that can fit many people. We were so happy to get a spot at the campground since they had a shelter. The winds were at 70 miles an hour so we appreciated having a safe place to go. The owners are caring and work hard. There is a nice pool and some mini golf. Also, we appreciated the pull through site and strong Wifi. We will be back again if we find ourselves in the area. A bit noisy with road sounds, but not bad.

Stopped here for the night only. Gravel sites with plenty of grass in between spots. The grass did need a good mowing, but it has been raining here non-stop for several weeks so really not their fault. The owners were super friendly and directed us to our spot. The site we had was not level at all, we did not unhook from our truck though. Still there was a definite 15-20 degree tilt on the trailer. The place was very full, with a mix of ages. There were a lot of "party" campers there who were living it up when we arrived, thankfully a heavy downpour ensued to curb that. There were a lot of amenities geared towards kids, an arcade, swimming pool, putt putt course, playground, and a decent sized catch and release pond for fishing. The bathrooms were clean and in the middle of a renovation. Overall not a bad place. They did have wi-fi which was super fast and strong where we were, but we were parked right next to a signal amplifier.

Over all we had a good stay. They have a huge park for the kids, they have a place they do outdoor movies, they have a dog park. The owners are really great people, the guy next door was a big baby about us stepping foot on his property (wasn't marked so we didnt know).

We only stayed for an overnight, but the staff was friendly, shower facilities were great, and tons to do - mini golf, pool, playground, tetherball, basketball. Nice, level pull through sites with a swing, fire ring, and picnic table. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to people staying for longer. Laundry and store on-site. Wifi worked well. Close to the interstate but over our fan didn’t hear any traffic noise.

Great staff and a great park. Plenty of room for our 5th wheel. We needed to do laundry after a long trip, and the facilities were clean and reasonably priced and had a change machine in the room. Having a fenced dog run was a huge plus and very welcome after a long day cooped up in the truck. A clean and tidy, well kept RV park. Close to I80 but the traffic noise was unobtrusive and we slept great. The porch swings were a nice touch and even the dog park had one! We took full advantage :-)
A Walmart super center just one exit west of the rv park.
Definitely will stay again.

We stayed here on our way from Wyoming to Florida. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere, but they've made it a lovely spot. I wish we had young children to enjoy it with. They had a swimming pool, a fun playground, even a gaga ball pit, golf next door. Each site has water, electric, sewer and even a nice swing set, table and firepit.
The gravel site was level and there was grass between sites. Lovely campground, we just didn't have much time to enjoy it. Very close to highway, so easy and convenient for those passing through.

Right off I-80 so easy access. Pool was a great perk for a stopover (for us) campground especially since it was 88 Fahrenheit when we got off the road in mid-June. There were many sites with shady trees but we weren’t assigned one of those unfortunately. Staff person led us to our spot which is always appreciated and not usually offered unless you’re in a KOA campground. Drive through site was level. An all right spot.
