“sweet & shady for the entire family”

Orangeland, a family owned RV park, opened in 1972. Owner/builder, E. H. Welton stressed from the beginning that Orangeland was to be a FAMILY business as opposed to a family BUSINESS, and to that end the park prides itself on its family friendly atmosphere and service that has twice earned Park of the Year honors from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC). Orangeland was built on the site of a working orange grove, and among the park’s more popular attractions today are the many orange and other citrus trees from which guests are encouraged to pick fruit in season. Explaining that, “This just feels like home;” or “We feel like we’re part of the family here,” many guests return to Orangeland season after season. “Word of mouth” has always been one of Orangeland’s most effective means of advertising. Orangeland became a family corporation in 1979. Mr. Welton, who created Orangeland, left us in July 2012 at age 95. Mrs. Welton is now the president and various family members serve as corporate officers and directors.

We often store our rig in Anaheim at OCRV Storage which is only a few minutes from Orangeland. In some ways this park is a step back in time. The sites and facilities are spotless and the folks that work there are very kind and helpful. The pool is large and refreshing and the bathrooms and showers work well. There is a well stocked general store with reasonable prices – get a bottle of Orangeland water for a dollar or less – and many of the sites are well shaded. This is a great city park if you want to explore the town of Orange or if you and yours need a dose of Disneyland - Orangeland can arrange transport for you. Across the street is a complex with a movie theater and several great places for food and drink. The Amtrak station is close as well if you want to take a side trip. Many of the sites at Orangeland are spacious and have shade and fruit trees.

We spent a week here while on our monthly trip touring California. We were focusing on Los Angeles and picked this park because it was only 39 miles. However, we did not anticipate the traffic and there were times that it took us 2 hours to drive the 39 miles.

The park itself is very nice and clean, staff very friendly. There are a lot of full timers there, which makes it a little different from RV parks that we are used to. In most RV parks there are a lot of campers out and visiting with each other enjoying making new friends. In this park most of the permanents stay inside.

Most of the sites are back-in, nice paved streets, but a little tight. We could not put our awning out because of the closeness of the rv's. We were lucky to have a corner lot, which gave us a little more room.

They do have a very nice pet area, with a great table tub for bathing your pet. This was a first for us!

Stayed one night while passing through but would love to come again and stay longer. They offer shuttle to Disneyland which would be a great option. Park is clean and staff friendly. Site was nice pull through with easy access for big rig. Two small dog parks as they are adamant about not letting dogs on grass around the FT sites. Pool looked inviting and several families were enjoying.

We'll never stay at a Disneyland hotel again! This place is really great. It’s only a 5 minute drive (or shuttle) from the park. The campsite was super clean, had a great store, a huge laundry room, playground, dog park, and a sweet pool. On Saturdays they even provide donuts! Whats not to love.

The site is a large parking lot, but each spot has a small lawn area, picnic table with umbrella, and a citrus tree (that you are allowed to pick the fruit from)!

They do provide a shuttle service to Disneyland for a small fee. However, while we were there the driver was out sick so they were calling taxis for people and comping the tab. Given that we have two kids in carseats and a huge double stroller, this was not going to work. The owner was so sweet. He offered to comp our parking pass so we could drive to the park instead! Thanks again Orangeland!

We also took advantage of an RV cleaning service that was offered here. It was about $80 and they came out to the site (while we were at the park) and washed our trailer!!! It was so dirty before and came out sparkling.

Another service we took advantage of while here (although not associated with the park) was Rover. It's an app that allows you to find anything from dog walkers to pet sitters in your area and book them to help take care of your pet! We used it while we were here and it worked out great. We hired this friendly gal named Julie. She came twice a day and took our pups out for walks, restocked them on food and fluids, and gave them a little extra love.

Bathrooms: very clean
Hookups: full hookups
Dog Park: yes, but small gravel pen
Kid Friendly: yes (playground, pool)
Laundry: very nice, lots of machines, $1.75 per load

We were there not to go to Disneyland, which is sooo close, but to visit relatives. Easy to find, easy check-in. Host brings you to your site. Yes, the sites are tight and close, and you look at your neighbors' hook-ups while sitting at your picnic table, but this is the city and cities are noisy and space is limited. You will hear traffic from the surrounding roads. Full Verizon cell coverage.

We had Premium pull-thru site 36 and it was nice and level concrete. Garbage pickup at curb. Clean showers and huge laundry room. Staff driving around always so always felt secure. We walked the park and looks like a lot of long-term renters but they are toward the back of the park. Pool looked nice and they have a little convenience store, too. Upon check-in, they gave us a really nice welcome pack with neat little supplies, sudoku game book, notepad and more. We had not experienced that before and thought it was a really nice touch.

Orangeland would be a nice basecamp for Disneyland. About 10 minutes away is old-town Orange. Lots of shops and restaurants to explore. Yes, we would stay here again if we are in the Anaheim area in an RV. It was clean, safe and very convenient. There are no nice views and the spaces are tight but we were glad we found Orangeland and had a nice stay.

Nice well maintained park with an abundance of fruit trees campers can pick from. Spots have grass in between. Spots aren't super large so parking can be awkward but not too tightly packed. Great all day curbside garbage service, recycling dumpster, large heated pool, hot tub and game areas. Location close to many attractions and interstates for easy access. WiFi is okay but can be spotty during heavy traffic.

Very clean and quiet park. Staff is friendly and garbage pick up, at your site, is convenient. This is spendy, however, that is Southern California. After a Good Sam’s discount, we paid $63 for 40-foot RV site and $30 for 25-foot trailer site/nightly.

We were heading to Disneyland for 3 days and without a CA version of Fort Wilderness, one of the Anaheim RV parks seemed to be the best choice. Orangeland is about 3.2 miles from the entrance gate (we walked there one day).

We chose a premium, pull-through site and were given a week discount and AAA discount. The sites are FHU, paved and level with grass in between and fruit trees around, so were more attractive than expected. The fruit is free for the picking.

The campground is very well maintained. There are service people cleaning up and making improvements everywhere. There is a pool, hot tub, small playground, small putting green with items to turn it into miniature golf. The laundry room is very large and clean. Trash is picked up at the end of your site multiple times/day.

The area immediately around felt very secure and the campground was overall, very quiet. There are at least half of the sites occupied by full-time residents who were friendly, tidy, and quiet. If you want to run or bicycle, it is very close to the Santa Ana River bike path. It is also walking distance to the Anaheim transportation station if you want to take the train into LA or San Diego.

The only negative we experienced was a couple of families with VERY out of control young children who came in on Memorial Day weekend. The children were running in and out of campsites throwing balls and waving sticks near RVs and yelling and were unattended by any adults. I notified the office and it was dealt with immediately. Staff working throughout the campground in the day and checking things regularly in the evenings meant things were kept in control and pleasant.

Great stopover. Tim, Sheriff, was great and walked me into the site. Elaine at front desk was friendly on the phone and even more in person. Wifi worked well. Men showers were hot. FYI: My wife had to turn on two showers to get hers warm enough to use. We loved the place (and free tree fruit) and would absolutely go back.

We had a week of activities planned at Disney, etc and we’re actually going to stay further away due to the price here. After looking at length of drive, cost of parking at Disney vs taking the bus that is right down the road from Orangeland it was a no brainer.
This park is fantastic. Very nice people, extremely well maintained, and you can’t beat all you can eat citrus at your fingertips.
The sites are tight but your in the heart of Anaheim. The bus station is a 10 minute walk away so you can avoid driving everywhere. There is a theater nearby, restaurants, and more. And even though your in the city it’s pretty quiet.
They have a pool, arcade, pool table, playground, and more. There is so much to do but unfortunately we were gone most of the time.
The laundry can be paid for by coin...or via an app so you don’t have to worry about getting quarters!! This was awesome.
The WiFi was good and we were able to stream but used our Verizon MiFi for faster speeds. They do offer cable but you have to hook up a box that they loan you. We got the box and never used it.
The price is high but for where you’re at and what you get it’s totally worth it.
We’re a full time travel family and have been rv’ing for almost a year.
