This campground is very nice with spotless bathrooms. The only downside would be the size. It’s massive but well managed. We will be bacck

We stayed in a narrow campsite just off the shore. Very well run. People were friendly. Great place to ride bikes. Close to everything. Has basic WiFi.

This was a gem of a campground. We were there a bit offseason. Stayed 5 nights in the second week of September 2018. This campground is huge! Make sure you use the map to navigate around, it is necessary. The campground is off Hwy 23. Very easy to find and roads in are paved. There is a secondary entrance when you are driving north, but you will want to use the main entrance further down the road towards Cheboygan for check-in. The secondary entrance was closed when we were there, but it would be nice to use as it can be a haul to get to the exit depending on where your campsite is located. We opted for the small, 30-amp hookup sites. They are recommended for units under 32 feet and I would agree with that assessment. We fit fine with our 30 ft travel trailer and had enough room for the truck. The sites in that area are a bit closer together than some of the bigger sites, but we did not have any trouble. The site was fairly level as well. We were only about 50 yards from the water. They have benches and swings available near the water’s edge. On that side of the campground there is only one small area of “beach”. However, there is an amazing view of the Mackinac Bridge from that side. If you want a beach, you want the other side of the campground. Either way it’s beautiful. The campground offers many different site options and different price points, so you can tailor what you need versus cost easily. The options were almost too many because it was hard to decide and the map on the website doesn’t do a great job of telling you were the sites are located. But that is because it is so big, the map cannot really show each individual site. We were very happy with our site and its location. If we ever stayed here again we would possibly shell out more money for one right on the water as those had a bit more privacy. Not all sites have full hook-ups, but they have water spigots at various locations and they have a dump station. Mackinaw City has a few small stores for essentials, but if you need more than that there is a Walmart in nearby Cheboygan. We had decent cell phone reception while there. We had about 2-3 bars of 4G LTE for the Verizon hotspot and about 3-4 bars of 4G LTE on the AT&T. If you stay here, you must visit Mackinac Island. The campground has two spots where the ferry company picks you up to take to the ferry dock. You can also buy your tickets from the campground which is convenient. We took our bikes on the ferry as well and was able to get those tickets as well from the campground. The shuttle has room for the bikes and it is a good way to see the island. The campground is big enough too that biking around it is nice and scenic. We also spent some time by the water with our hammocks! They have great trees for that near the water. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a very reasonable price. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Offer a wide range of options for families and all varieties of campers ranging from tent camping to small cabins. Awesome views including beach front camping and a awesome view of Mackinac Bridge. This must be the cleanest bathrooms and shower house I have every seen!!!!! Fully supplied camping store with food and drinks/alcohol.

Only drawback for me is I stayed on the beach and with heavy rains this year the bugs were a bit overwhelming. Did not appear to be as bad the farther from the beach you went. Just something to consider that a screen tent may be needed if you want to sit outside, but that will be the case anywhere in the UP area. Perfect launch point to anything in the UP

Stayed here for two nights as it was the cheapest location in the area (doing their super saver site it was only $13 a night). Free WiFi, good cell service, free hot showers, nice flush toilets at the main area where the showers are, and very good condition pit toilets elsewhere throughout the camp. Yes, the super saver sites are further from the best amenities like showers/flush toilets, but you still have access to them—it’s just a walk or short drive away and there’s ample parking in front of the amenities area. All staff were very friendly. This was my first experience with a private campground, and I would absolutely return again.

Mackinac Mill Creek Campground in Mackinac City Michigan.
Site 578, FHU and $71 /night.
We could not get a Dish signal, handful of antenna channels. Had Tmobile 4g service and there is wifi available.
Nice camp store with cute camper themed clothes and gifts. Had their pizza too, not bad!
Great trails and roads for walking and biking. And of course beautiful views of the bridge!
This is a large campground. If you want to get around it bring your walking shoes, bikes or golf carts.
Staff is great and constantly keeping the grounds up. Everything is clean and maintained.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a small site but it was more than big enough for our 22’ camper. Excellent privacy with trees and bushes between sites. The showers and bathrooms were clean. Pool and playground looked well kept but we did not use them. Fire pits on the water were available and made for great evening! Close to the ferry for island access and a shuttle was available.

Pro: very large campground with lots of amenities; big green park area right on Lake Michigan for viewing Mackinac Bridge; close to ferry to Mackinac Island & shuttle to ferry.
Con: no laundry( sites vary in size - ours was very narrow with nothing to separate sites next to you - very difficult for large RVs to back into; weeds in back of sites & around trees. No one to direct you to site.
Staff: met some who were nice but one staff gave us wrong information regarding shuttle & supervisor rude & yelled at us for standing in wrong spot to board shuttle. We left Campground one day early because of unhelpful & rude response to our needs. Few to no bars with Verizon

HUGE campground with lots of amenities. We stayed in the narrow lake view spots and would highly recommend. Gorgeous views of Huron, the bridge and Mackinanc island. Site is small but there are hedges trees shrubs between each that definitely helped. Crap tons of kids out on bikes skateboards and just running around being kids. Really cool to have a fire on lake edge but claim your spot early!

Mill Creek was the 1st stop on a month-long Upper Penninsula camping trip. And Mill Creek was a wonderful start.

The campground, which is huge and has over 600 sites, is privately owned. It stretches along the south shore of ths Straits of Mackinac, providing great views of Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. Much of the shoreline is open parkland, rather than campsites, which gives everyone equal access.

There is a camp store for for some food/beverage items as well as some camping items. They also offer discount Mackinac Island ferry tickets. Free wifi is available for calls and texting. If you want streaming, you have to upgrade for $3.99 per day (at the time we were there).

The sites are adequate in size and mostly surrounded by trees and shrubs, providing some privacy. But they are still a little close to other campers.

Overall, this is a nice place to set up your camped as a base while you visit Mackinac Island and the area?
