Beautiful spot! Be prepared for a rough road on the way in and out. Follow the directions that are emailed and texted to you!!
Water access is excellent and host was delightfully welcoming! Bathrooms were the best we’ve ever seen at any park. 11/10 would visit again.
Campground has full hook-ups, and level concrete pads. Very pretty creek runs through the grounds. There were quite a few long-term campers. I would stay again

We LOVE this campground. When we arrived we were greeted and welcomed by Lois and her million dollar smile. We were expertly directed into our campsite by Lois and Bob. We stayed along the beautiful Piney river with full hook-ups, a cement pad, a pavilion with lights and ceiling fan, kind neighbors and the wonderful sounds of silence. We will definitely be back
We were met upon our arrival by the camp host and escorted to our camp spot. He offered help and immediately brought us a load of firewood and adjusted the picnic table to suit our set up. The staff was very friendly and available to help throughout our short stay. We have three boys and a dog that absolutely loved swimming and wading in the river. We would defiantly stay here again, I have zero negative things to say about Piney River Resort.

We had the most amazing experience at Piney River! We enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking, & crawdad hunting in the river. The sites down by the river are crazy spacious & the views are spectacular. The campground is maintained very well & management is making many nice upgrades including a pool, propane filling station, & camp store. All lower, river sites (1-12) are full hookups & concrete pad. The upper sites (13-45) are also full hook but most pads are gravel. You will love every minute at PRR! We can’t wait to visit again next year.

The riverfront sites have National Park level natural beauty. Loved the peaceful area, but close enough to town for services and restaurants. The management is friendly, helpful, and keeping the everything in top condition. Cell service is low, but the WIFI is the best we have experienced. Thank you for a great stay!

The resort it is pretty remote and the last mile of the road in is a little sporty. Definitely follow the campground’s directions, don’t rely on GPS or other services, as the campground directions are the only viable way in, particularly for Class As. The main campground is typical for RV resorts, sites pretty close together and in the open, but the sites along the river, where we were (site 1), all have concrete pads, are reasonably spaced and right on the river. Some have shelters over their picnic tables. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. AT&T had 1 bar and 0.04 MB/s w/o a booster, 2 bars and 0.2 MB/s with it. Overall WiFi was “ok” with data rates from 0.2 MB/s up to 1.1 MB/s. Satellite coverage should be good at any of the sites. We had visibility to all 3 DISH west satellites, so we didn’t try OTA channels.

Spot 3 is great with its own patio cover and clear view of the river. I'm most impressed with REAL WiFi pulling about 18mps download. They have invested in repeaters everywhere in the camp. The road in is small but people are nice and pull over to let you by.

We had been following Piney River for over a year before we even owned an RV. We knew it was one of the first places we were going to book and it lived up to every expectation we had. We stayed at site 5 which is pretty amazing: a water-front pavilion with stairs leading right down to a little sandy beach and the river. Our kids were in heaven playing in the water and fishing. The staff was welcoming, very responsive and helpful with everything we asked for. Our ideal campsites include room for our 4 young boys to explore (not right on top of another site), water and the night sky. We stayed in March, have already booked for June and will be booking more soon!

We spent a long weekend here and had an amazing time. I highly recommend the sites near the River. We stayed in number 4 and also recommend 3 and 5. Don’t expect to do much here but relax, tan, and swim/float in the River. It’s exactly what we wanted to do. Oh, cell signal is spotty (AT&T and Verizon) and no Over-The-Air TV channels, but their Wi-Fi is fantastic! We will be back!!!
